TN Ready testing went smooth in city

There has been a lot of trouble surrounding TN Ready Testing and it has affected schools all across Tennessee.

The tests are conducted electronically and the system has been experiencing technical difficulties.

But because Clinton City Schools are a Pre-K through sixth grade system, they were able to choose to stay with the paper and pencil option for an additional year.

“We really wanted to see the online platform be successful before we tied teacher accountability, school accountability and district accountability to the online platform,” said Kelly Johnson, Director of Clinton City Schools.

“Lucky for us, we have not been impacted by that.” said Johnson.

Due to a severed cable and a potentially deliberate attack on the system, most schools’ test scores were affected.

Tennessee School Officials are still working on figuring how the test scores will factor into overall student grades.
