National Day of Prayer: A call for unity
The Rev. Wayne Phillips of Main Street Baptist Church, Rocky Top, offered a “Prayer for County Officials” during last Thursday’s Anderson County National Day of Prayer on the Anderson County Courthouse lawn. The event was opened by State Rep. John Ragan and Anderson County Mayor Terry Frank, and featured musical performances and four prayers for four different sectors of life in Anderson County. Mayor Frank noted the overall theme for Thursday’s National Day of Prayer was a “Call for unity.”
