2018 East Tennessee 7 on 7 Perimeter Passing Day

Maryville College Football and the Fighting Scots Gridiron Club will host the 2018 East Tennessee 7 on 7 Perimeter Passing Day on July 14.

The event will feature two sessions.

The first session will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 1 p.m.

The second session will begin at 1 p.m. and conclude at 5 p.m.

The event was organized in memory of Cody Bowers, a Maryville College football coach and alumnus who died tragically in the fall of 2007.

A total of 33 schools committed to the event, which matches teams up into pools and allows each to practice their passing game for the upcoming season.

The Anderson County Mavericks open play at 1 p.m. against Lenoir City.

At 2 p.m., the Mavericks will face Ooltewah and at 3 p.m. they will play Tennessee High.

Anderson County will conclude action at 4 p.m. when they face Elizabethton, a team they bounced from the playoffs last season.

Admission for the event is $5 and concessions will be available. Spectators should bring law chairs.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Maryville College football program.
