Man dies trying to save wife’s sister from trailer fire

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of the two victims who died in a fire in Rocky Top last night, and they believe one died as he tried to save his wife’s sister.

Gregory Paul Gremillion, 64, and Sharon Dee Worrill, 54, were killed in the fire that engulfed their mobile home.

Gregory had taken his wife, Marianne Gremillion, to safety before going back into the burning home to save Sharon, Marianne’s disabled sister.

Marianne is at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville and reported to be in stable condition.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is assisting the sheriff’s department and fire departments to find out what caused the fire, but they believe it was an electrical outlet malfunction.
