Fisk Jubilee Singers to perform
The Fisk Jubilee Singers will perform in Oak Ridge on Good Friday.
The concert will be at 6 p.m. Friday, March 29, at High Places Community Church, also known as the Historic Grove Theater, at 123 Randolph Road.
It will be a benefit concert for the Scarboro 85 monument, which will commemorate the desegregation of Oak Ridge Schools.
The Fisk Jubilee singers are an a cappella group of students from Fisk University in Nashville, specializing in gospel music and spirituals with roots dating to 1871.
Tickets are $25 and may be purchased at TN Bank at 401 S. Illinois Ave., Oak Ridge, or online at Eventbright.
