ROBERT L. 'BOB' WALDEN

Robert L. “Bob” Walden, 84, Clinton, Mo., passed away Tuesday evening, Oct. 6, 2020, at Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw, Mo.

He was born Oct. 20, 1935, in Hoot Owl Holler, Tennessee, the son of William W. Walden Sr., and Nannie (Douglas) Walden. He married Harriette Louise Hembree on Sept. 7, 1980, in Birmingham, Ala. She preceded him in death on July 19, 2017. Bob retired as Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force, serving in the Korean and Vietnam wars.

Surviving are: One son, Bobby Walden; step-daughter, Sharon Jackson and husband Ken of Warrensburg, Mo.; one grandson, Major Christopher D.C. Smith, United States Army, and wife Sydnea of Colorado Springs, Col.; two granddaughters, Jennifer Kocher and husband Austin of Warrensburg, Mo., and Christina; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to Harriette, he was preceded in death by: First wife, Lillian; four brothers, William Jr., Carl, Paul and Don; and five sisters, Ermagene, in infancy, Mildred, Della Mae, Bernice and Lynn.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020, at Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton, Mo.

The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 a.m., just prior to the funeral service.

Interment will be in Vansant Road Cemetery.

Friends may call Monday from noon – 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Golden Valley Door of Hope, and these donations may be left in care of the funeral home.
