WALTER (BUDDY) LEVI WALDEN

Walter (Buddy) Levi Walden, 75, Clinton, born June 10, 1947, went home to be with the Lord Dec. 26, 2022, surrounded by his loving wife of 55 years Dianne Carter Walden, and his five daughters.

Walter was a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He would have been a great-great-grandfather in February to a new baby boy. He enjoyed a lot of things during his lifelong journey. The most significant was driving a school bus, but his passion was being a tour bus driver traveling across America and Canada.

He was preceded in death by: Parents, Bill and Mary Ruth Walden; sister, Joyce Hannah; brother, Garry Walden; son-in-law, Eric King; great-grandchildren, Demi and Baby Windham; father and mother-in-law, Cornelius and Mary Carter; brothers-in-law, Ray Carter, Ronnie Carter; and sister-in-law, Kathy Reed.

He is survived by: Daughters, Melissa Davis and husband Michael and their children Joshua Davis and wife Jennifer, Jerrica Varner and significant other Cody Justice and their children Aiden and Aaron Varner. Blayze, Noah, and Talon Davis, Patricia Carpenter and husband Otis and their children Jessica and Billy Carpenter and significant other Courtney Cooper and their children Johnny Williams, Hailey Williams and expecting baby boy, Casey Mount, Cody, David, and Noah Carpenter, Sheila Langford and husband Robert and their children Robert Langford IV and wife Jessie and their children Robert V., Timothy and Benjamin Langford, Jordan and wife Carley Langford, Emily Anders and husband Brandon, Olivia Langford, and Andrew and Olivia Langford, Cheryl Walden King and children Shelby Windham and husband Darryl their children Sunny and Sophie Windham, Chloe Winsbro and son Drayden Roberts, Amy Walden Duncan and significant other Richard (Rick) Carpenter and their fur and feather babies and Rick's son Richard (Richie) and wife Chloe.

He is also survived by: Sisters, Dianna Childs and Janet Webb; uncle, Hubert Harmon; along with many nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022, in the chapel of Mott-McKamey Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m.

The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023, at Staff Sergeant Cornelius Carter Cemetery. Grandson, Preacher Robert Langford IV will officiate the services.

Mott-McKamey Funeral Home and Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
