Barry Lewis Petree

Barry Lewis Petree, 53 of Rocky Top, Tennessee passed away at his home unexpectedly Thursday, July 11 2024. He was born May 28, 1971 to John Lewis and Rebecca Petree of Lafollette Tennessee.

He was such a kind, loving, caring man. He had a heart of gold, would do anything to help anyone. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, singing, playing his guitar, spending time with friends and family. He loved his family and God. He was a member of Rocky Top Church of Christ.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and June Petree of Lafollette; Bruce Gordon and Jessie Lee Golden Poore of Lake City; first wife, Angela Long Petree; uncles, Ronnie (Twila Marlow, Sue Dews) Poore, Bruce Poore Jr.; aunts, Delphia “Tootsie” (Bill) Rose, cousin, Kevin Lee Poore.

He is survived by his mother, Rebecca Ann Poore Tackett; father, John Lewis Petree (Barbie Sietner); step-father, Carl Edward Tackett; wife, Angie Heathcock Petree; daughter, Larissa Nicole Petree (Jeremy Hatfield); sons, Trenton Lewis and Brently Lewis Petree; grandson, Jayden Keith Hatfield; brothers, Gary Lewis Petree, Jeremy Scott (Amanda Green) Tackett, and Ben Warren Tackett; sister-in-law, Danielle Kear Tackett; aunts, Juanita Wynn (Arvil Brown, Ralph Wynn), Norma (LeeRoy) Phillips; uncles, Eddie (Eunice Dowell) Poore, Otis (Debbie Wohlford) Poore, David (Sheila Foust) Poore, Ralph (Ann Stittums) Poore, Johnny (Debra Pyatt) Poore, Terry (Paula) Petree, Joe (Linda Halstead, Debbie Hooks) Petree, and Gary Wayne (Sandra Phillips) Petree; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Rocky Top Church of Christ on Monday, July 15, 2024 from 5-7p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. with Bruce Holt and Bryan Brown officiating.
