MARY ELIZABETH CATE
Mary Elizabeth Cate of Powell passed away on July 7, 2025, at her home. She was born May 10, 1943, in Anderson County to Joe and Elizabeth Moore. Mary was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Cecil Cate; sons, Darryl Cate and Bruce Cate; and several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2025, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton.
