Margaret Rose Kesterson Fritts

Margaret Rose Kesterson Fritts, 94, went to her heavenly home on Dec. 30, 2025. She was born Nov. 6, 1931, in Briceville.

She lived in Rocky Top with her beloved husband, Dorcy Lee Fritts, for 70 years until his passing in 2020.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary (Foust) and Lewis Kesterson, and her sister, Betty Jo Kesterson Abner.

Margaret retired from the Anderson County School System, where she worked as a Title I aide at Medford and Lake City elementary schools for more than 20 years. Many children benefited from her patient help in reading and spelling.

She was a member of Clinch River Baptist Church for 75 years, where she taught Sunday School and supported mission work through the Women’s Missionary Union. She was also a member of the Coal Creek Order of the Eastern Star No. 226.

Throughout her later years and declining health, Margaret remained faithful in calling friends and praying for them.

She is survived by her daughter, Kippy Fritts Todd; a grandson, Benjamin Todd (Hayley Moller); a granddaughter, Alison Todd; a great-granddaughter, Ripley Todd Moller; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family extends special thanks to the hospice professionals at Caris.
