Patricia “Pat and Nana” Joan Dozier Row

Patricia “Pat and Nana” Joan Dozier Row, 80, of Oak Ridge, passed away Wednesday morning, June 3, 2026.

Pat was born in Evarts, Kentucky, in 1946. Her family later moved to Briceville, Tennessee, where she was raised by her maternal grandparents, along with her brother, Billy Wayne.

Pat was active in the Oak Ridge community and loved volunteering. After more than 30 years as an executive secretary at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, she moved to SAIC, where she worked as an administrative consultant. During that time, she also served as president of the International Association of Administrative Professionals.

Pat had a strong work ethic, and after working for many years, she volunteered her time with the UT Arboretum Society and Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She also served on several local boards, including Emory Valley Center and the Roane State Foundation.

Pat loved her church, First Christian Church of Oak Ridge (Disciples of Christ), and enjoyed leading children’s Bible story time. She loved traveling with her friends and her late husband, Tom, and enjoyed spending time with him planting and growing flowers around their home. Throughout her life, Pat had many cat companions and loved all God’s creatures.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Thomas H. Row; her mother, Beatrice Flood; her father, Elmer Dozier; her brother, Billy W. Yocum Sr.; and her sister-in-law, Ava L. Yocum.

She is survived by her daughters, Jill Johnson and husband Jeff, Joe’l Selph and husband Jim, and April Pack and husband Rob; stepchildren, Debbie Stapleton and husband Gary, Stuart Row and wife Leslie, Chris Row and wife Susan, and Robert Row and wife Rebecca; grandchildren, Scarlett Towe and husband JT, Garrett Johnson and wife Jordan, Hannah Selph, Cannon Pack, Cooper Pack, Carolina Pack, Blake Stapleton and wife Sarah, Carly Slagle and husband Scott, Austin Stapleton, Brandon Row, Ben Row and wife Madie, Alex Row, Maddie Row, Lilly Row, Tyler Row, Campbell Row, Laura Row and Mary Katherine Row; nine great-grandchildren; niece, Billie Hatmaker and husband Robert; and nephew, Billy Yocum Jr. and wife Mindy.

The family wishes to extend gratitude to the many people who helped with Pat’s care over the past seven months, including the staff at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge and the caregivers from Synergy Home Care — Riley, Alexis and Kyra — who provided love, care, kindness and patience to Pat.

Visitation for family and friends was held from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, at Weatherford Mortuary in Oak Ridge, followed by a celebration of life service at 7 p.m.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 10.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Aid to Distressed Families in Appalachian Counties, online via PayPal or by mail to ADFAC, P.O. Box 5953, Oak Ridge, TN 37831; Roane State Foundation; or First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Oak Ridge.
