Rosalie Alley

Rosalie Alley, 85, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 2, 2024, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on Aug. 15, 1938, to the late George and Nellie (Wyatt) Hensley.
She was known as Miss Alley by her students, momma by her children, Rosie by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and Rosalie by her classmates and friends. She was a homemaker until her kids were grown, then worked as a substitute teacher for 33 years in the Anderson County School System. She was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church, and more recently attended Norris First Baptist Church. Rosalie enjoyed spending time with family, attending social events, and singing at local churches. She was an avid sports fan, loved going to Anderson County High School football games, and even hemmed prom dresses, cheerleader outfits, and band uniforms for the students.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John Alley, Sr., and siblings: Jack Hensley, Harold Hensley, Darryl Hensley, Geraldine Stooksbury, and Elizabeth Johnson.
Rosalie is survived by her children: John K Alley, Jr. of Clinton, Roger Alley (wife Kelly) of Rocky Top, Mike Alley (wife Stephanie) of Farragut, Kim Hutcheson (husband Donnie) of Clinton, and Nancy Trent (husband Barry) of Andersonville; grandchildren: Travis, Jessica, Lacey, Jonathan, Jill, Brittany, Brandon, Joshua, Ashley, Jack, and Isabella; 13 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Flo Elliott, Phyllis Hall, Bessie Seiber, and Mary Lou Webber.
The family would like to thank Jimmy Bullock and Robin Lindsay for the exceptional care they provided Rosalie for the last three years.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton from 11am-2pm. A funeral service will follow with Pastor David Seiber officiating. Friends and family will go in procession to Norris Memorial Gardens where Rosalie will be laid to rest.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Red Hill Baptist Church in Andersonville.

Jon Anthony Walls
March 5, 2024
Jon Anthony Walls was born on April 28, 1950, and passed away on March 5, 2024, at the age of 73.
Jon was born in Terre Haute, Indiana before his family moved to Oak Ridge, TN when he was two years old. After graduating Oak Ridge High School Jon enlisted in the United States Air Force. During the Vietnam War, Jon worked as a Ground Radio Communications Repairman in Taiwan where he met and married his wife Su in 1971. After returning to the United States Jon graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering before working at K-25 and Y-12. In 1982, John and Su opened Little China restaurant in Clinton and continued to operate it until 2015.
Jon is preceded in death by his parents Rex and Bonnie Walls, brothers Louis Walls and David Walls, and an infant sister.
He is survived by wife Su Walls, daughter Alicia (Walls) Alvis and husband John Alvis, brother Glenn Walls, twin granddaughters Kylee Alvis and Sadie Alvis, several brothers and sisters-in-laws as well as numerous nieces and nephews in both the US and Taiwan.
The family would like to extend appreciation to the many doctors, nurses, and caregivers who have cared for Jon during his lengthy battle with Parkinson’s. Jack Allen Holt

Jack Allen Holt passed from this life to his heavenly home on March 5, 2024, at the age of 89 after a 5-year battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
He was born on a 300-acre farm in the Elza Community of Anderson County before his family moved to Clinton when the government acquired their land for the Manhattan Project, which eventually became Oak Ridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Lillian Holt, sister-in-law Margaret (Sissy) Holt and Marty Hibben Mathews.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Brenda Hibben Holt, daughter Sandy Moye (Bob), son David Holt (Tina), brother Bob Holt, brother-in-law Gary Hibben (Tammy), grandchildren Jackson and Jefferson Holt, Erin White (Drew) and Nathan Moye (Sydnee), great granddaughter Anderson White, several nieces and nephews, and forever friends Shirlene and Byron Booker.
Jack attended LMU and the University of Tennessee before proudly enlisting in the US Army during the Korean War era, serving two years in Japan performing data processing for the Far East Command. He used his computer knowledge to establish a successful 33-year career as a computer analyst/programmer at K25 in Oak Ridge.
He was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church for 60 years, serving as a beloved Sunday School Teacher, deacon, Food Help Program volunteer, and initiating the Marriage/Family and Grief Counseling Ministry at Grace. He also served in ministry at KARM for 25 years.
Jack loved his family, reading his Bible, his country, and sharing a good laugh.
A celebration of Life service will be held at Grace Baptist Church 7171 Oak Ridge Hwy on Sunday, March 17. The receiving of friends 2-4 p.m. with service at 4 p.m., Dr. Ron Stewart will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cross Ministries, P.O. Box 7344 Knoxville, TN 37921.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at CenterWell for their years of in-home health care, and the nurses and staff at Gentivia Hospital for their care and support for the last three months at home.
A special thank you to his wonderful caregiver, Kimberly Swann for her compassionate caregiving and love. The family will gather for a private burial at Grandview Memorial Garden in Clinton.
Paul D. Rogers

Paul D. Rogers, 72, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 4, 2024. Paul was born on May 9, 1951, in Coalfield, TN to Johnny and Carrie Rogers. He grew up in Coalfield and attended Mt. Carmel Presbyterian. He was a resident of Clinton, Tn community for 32 years.
Paul retired after 36 years of service at ORNL - UT-Battelle as an Electrician. He was a member of IBEW #760.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents Johnny D. and Carrie J. (Jackson) Rogers. sister Carol Jones and brother Lincoln Rogers.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Betty J. (Wright) Rogers; sister, Mary and husband Earl Stewart; special aunt, Virginia Jones, special sons, James Sanders and wife Tara, and Gary Kesterson and Marcia; grandsons, Dexter Rogers and wife Whitney, Dustin Rogers and wife Taylor; one great grandson, Bradon; two great granddaughters Laklynn and Ellie; nephew, Jason Rogers and wife Angie; brother-in-law, Gary and Janet Wright; sister-in-law, Kay Rummage; many special nieces and nephews, he loved them all very dearly like his own; special niece, Leighanne Rhea and special nephew Warren Rummage and Susie.

Peggy Fletcher

Peggy Fletcher, 86, of Clinton, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024, at Methodist Medical Center. Peggy was born April 1, 1937, in Jonesborough, Tennessee to the late Elmer and Ruth Walker. Peggy was a member of Clinton First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for more than 25 years. She was a volunteer at Methodist Medical Center for more than 40 years.
Throughout her life, she loved cooking and sewing, but there wasn’t anything she cherished more than reading her bible.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Doran Fletcher; son, Randy Fletcher; and brother, Don Walker.
She is survived by a son, Roger Fletcher & wife Jennifer of Clinton; grandchildren, Alex Fletcher & wife Haley of Clinton; great-grandchildren, Judah and Laney Fletcher; sister-in-law, Jeannie Walker of Gray, TN; several nieces, nephews, her special Sunday School Class, and a host of devoted friends whom she loved dearly.
The family received friends 5-7 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2024, at First Baptist Church Clinton. Her funeral followed with Dr. Danny Chisholm and grandson, Alex Fletcher officiating. Her graveside was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Anderson Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Isaiah Gregory Hill

Isaiah Gregory Hill, age 25 of Clinton, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024.
In spite of Isaiah’s mental health issues, he was extremely intelligent. He was a cultural humanitarian, an amazing writer and was writing a book. He was an avid reader and had a keen interest in historical and political literature. He had a artistic and creative mind. He was an animal lover and he loved his dog Iggy and his cat Gublin.
He was born on July 3, 1998. He was the son of the late Stacy Lou Hill. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Hubert Edward Bell; great-grandparents, Carl and Helen McMahan, Luther and Lizzie May Bell, and Claude E. and Esther Turner.
Isaiah is survived by his sister, Hannah Hill; grandparents, who raised him, Billy and Patty McMahan; great-grandmother, Esther Dykes, who also helped raise him; great-grandparents, Mack and Janie Hill; biological father, Dion Chandler; aunt and uncle, Michael and Nicole Hill; cousins, Logan and Brittan hill; best friend ever, Caleb Arwood; special friends, Alex Durbin and C.J. Braden; family member Leeshaun Taylor, and other relatives and friends.
The Hill Family will receive friends on Monday, March 11, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. in the Jones Mortuary Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m.
The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 1 p.m. in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, Andersonville, Tennessee.

Larry “Frog” Winfred Bullock

Larry “Frog” Winfred Bullock, 71, of Clinton, TN, passed away Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge after a hard fought battle with cancer. He was an Army veteran and a member of South Clinton Baptist Church. He worked as a pipefitter/pipe welder until his retirement. Larry was a fun loving person who always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger. In addition to spending time with family and friends, he enjoyed NASCAR, camping, and his annual fishing trip to Tellico, and was always hunting for a bargain at the Frog Mart.
He was preceded in death by his father; Earl Bullock, mother; Jessie W. Hamilton, son; Nathan W. Bullock, sisters; Ann Metier and Linda White all of Clinton.
Larry “Frog” Bullock is survived by his wife; Donna B. Bullock, daughter; Karin (Anthony) M. Partin, son; Vince Bullock, three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, as well as numerous friends.
We would like to extend thanks to Ed Wilson, Everett McNabb and Will Cardwell for their friendship and support over the years.
