Hazel P. Kimble
Hazel Phillips Kimble, 88, of Clinton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 9, 2025.
Hazel was born in Anderson County to Harrison and Martha Jane Carroll Phillips. She loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church in Clinton for more than 50 years. She retired from Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, where she worked for 23 years. Hazel enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, sewing and picking the guitar with her friends at the Anderson County Senior Center.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Jones; her second husband, Dewey Kimble; brother, Jerome Phillips; sisters, Rosie Jeffers and Hannah Reighn; and grandson, Michael Kimble Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Terry) Hammac; son, Michael (Mary) Kimble; grandson, Matthew (Cheryl) Baird; granddaughters, Stephenie (Jody) Raines and Rachelle (Kenny) Mattison; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2025, in the chapel of Jones Mortuary. The funeral followed at 7 p.m., and was officiated by Wayne Justice. A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Grandview Memorial Garden in Clinton.
