FRED AUSTIN FOX

Fred Austin Fox, 88, passed away Dec. 18, 2020, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
He was born in 1932 near what is now tee box number 12 at Centennial golf course in Oak Ridge which was at that time his family’s farm. A 1953 graduate of Clinton High School, he retired from Union Carbide Corporation in Oak Ridge as a foreman working in the Y-12 plant.
He was preceded in death by: Parents, Thomas Wilson Fox and Elizabeth Strong Fox; son, Fredrick Scott Fox; brothers and sisters, Dorothy (Dot) Fox Margrave, William (Bill) Fox, Minnie Fox Manley, Elizabeth Fox Bolton, Hazel Fox Brown, Bessie Fox Smith, Henry Fox, Bertha Mae (Bert) Fox Jenkins.
He is survived by: Wife of 68 years, Onah Stair Fox; daughter, Venessa Fox Seivers (David); grandchildren, Chelsea McMasters (Nathan), Evan Seivers (Emily), Mackenzie Fox, Skylar Fox and Jordan Fox; great-grandchildren, Sloan Seivers, Neal and Fiona McMasters. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also held a special place in his heart along with the many friends he would do anything for to help.
Fred was a lifelong Clinton resident. His friendliness, humor and storytelling were notable traits. In his free time, he enjoyed competition of all types and enjoyed being a fan and spectator of all sports. He especially liked playing golf and did so all his life including this past July at the 49th annual Fox family reunion. This was an important event to him and he always encouraged everyone’s attendance.
Due to the COVID pandemic, the family is having only an outdoor graveside service at 2 p.m. Monday Dec. 21, 2020, at Grandview Memorial Garden in Clinton.
The family requests everyone wear a mask to the service.
Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to St Judes Children’s Hospital or First Baptist Church in Clinton.
MARGIE PAULINE HENDERSON
December 17, 2020
Margie Pauline Henderson, 91, Heiskell, passed away Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020, at her residence.
Margie was born in Grayson County, Ky., April 27, 1929, to the late Marvin and Anna Mae Glasscock Drane. She was a member of College Heights United Methodist Church in Elizabethtown, Ky. She loved crocheting, knitting, crafts, and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by: Husband, James Henderson; brothers, Carroll Drane and Murle Drane; and sister, Alice Ruth Wilson.
Survivors: Sons, Dave Henderson and wife Cecilia of Heiskell, Terry Henderson of Heiskell; grandson, David Henderson of Heiskell.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 2020, at New Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Don Sexton officiating.

ANNA MAUDE HILL RIGGS

Anna Maude Hill Riggs, 90, Clinton, passed away peacefully Dec. 16, 2020, at Norris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Clinton, where she worked in the church nursery taking care of a countless number of children for more than 49 years.
In her earlier years, she worked for Southern Bell Telephone Company in Clinton as a switchboard operator, and always recalled that she was working the switchboard the morning of the bombing of Clinton High School on Oct. 5, 1958. In later years, she was a long time Produce Department Manager at Miller’s IGA in South Clinton.
Anna Maude was born in Coal Creek.
She was preceded in death by: Parents, Shelby Lee and Mattie Katharn Andrews Hill; as well as brothers, John Hill and Shelby T. Hill; and sisters, Barbara Freeman and Mary Wilson.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert Gerald Riggs, in August, 2016.
Survivors: Son, William R. (Bill) Riggs and wife Lynne; daughter, Susie K. Taylor and husband Jimmy; grandson, Matthew R. Taylor; special friend, Fred Jones of Knoxville; several nephews and nieces.
The family would like to express our appreciation to mom’s niece, Mona Poore, who has been a faithful companion and caregiver to both Mom and Dad for many years. We would also like to thank her Cross Street neighbors, who have kept a watchful eye on her since dad’s passing.

Lowell Wade Hohman, 81, Clinton, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
He was born March 19, 1939, to the late Eugene Henry and Verna Louise Weber Hohman in Clinton. He was a carpenter for many years. He also worked as a screen printer and produced many uniforms for local sports teams. Lowell was a founding member of the Optimist Club in South Clinton. He enjoyed watching sports on television, especially the Vols. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: Granddaughter, Anessa Hohman; and brother, Jack Hohman.
He is survived by: Wife, Norma Hohman; children, Michael Hohman, Alan Hohman and wife Wendy; grandchildren, Krista Robinette and husband Josh, and Sarah Hohman; great-grandchildren, Lincoln Robinette; siblings, Carolyn Owens and husband Marvin, Dolores Crowley and husband L.B.; several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Family and friends gathered for graveside services at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens.

FRANCES PRATER McKINNEY

Ms. Frances Prater McKinney was granted her angel wings Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020.
She resided in Clairfield and worked in the school system for more than 35 years. Frances had a love for children to excel in their education. She was a member of the Clairfield Missionary Baptist Church and later moved to Louisiana where she was employed by Valex Credit Union for many years. After retiring she returned to Andersonville to be near family.
Frances was preceded in death by: Parents, Herbert and Bessie Reed McDonald; infant daughter, Lisa Prater; father of her sons, Elmer Prater; and second husband, James Allen McKinney.
She is survived by: Sons, Michael Prater (Patsy) and David Prater (Sharon); grandchildren, Toni Gossett (Jeff) and Tracy Powers (Kevin); great-grandchildren, Courtnie, Sydnie, Dawson and Madison; great-great-grandchildren, Kellin and Kyler.
We would like to say a special thanks to The Courtyards of Oak Ridge, Amedisys HH and Hospice for caring for our spunky granny and treating her like family.

Connie Susan Williams Reeverts, 68, Clinton, passed away Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, at her residence.
She was born in Burtonwood, England, on April 26, 1952, to Leonard and Edyth Cheeks Williams.
She retired from the Anderson County School System after working in the central office for many years.
She was the happiest when on a float in the water or with her dogs.
In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Reeverts.
Survived by: Daughters, Lindy Reeverts, Lexie Reeverts Scott and husband Christopher; grandchildren, Henri Scott and Isabella Scott; special friend, Carolin Lefevers’ loving caregiver, Amanda Beffre.

BRANDON LAWRENCE TAYLOR

Brandon Lawrence Taylor went home to be with the Lord Dec. 11, 2020.
Brandon was born Oct. 30, 1984, to parents, William E. (Billy) Taylor and Betty Joiner Taylor.
Brandon will always be remembered as a big-hearted, sweet, young man who loved his son and family with all his heart. Brandon loved to laugh, and had the best sense of humor with an irresistible contagious laugh. He loved to fish, golf, play cards and spend time with his family and friends.
Even though Brandon lived a relatively short life, he felt blessed to have such a loving family and many precious friends whom he loved with all his heart, body and soul.
Brandon is survived by: Beloved son, Waylon Taylor; father, William E. (Billy) Taylor; sister, Kristi Watkins and husband Brennen; grandmother, Edna Taylor; uncle, Scot Taylor; aunt, Janet Taylor Elliott; aunt, Judy Bazyn and husband Lee; uncle, Gene Joiner; nephew, Carson Watkins; niece, Emily Watkins; close friends and cousins, Barbara Washington and Jeremiah Taylor, Rebecca Pyle; mother of his son and Madeline Gribble, Waylon’s sister; along with many cousins and close friends.
Brandon was preceded in death by: Mother, Betty Joiner Taylor; grandparents, William L. Taylor, Al and Leila Joiner; aunts, Carolyn Joiner Whitaker, Judy Stephens; and uncle, Jimmy Joiner.

There will be no services at this time, a memorial for Brandon will be held at a later time.
PATRICIA (PAT) ANN HILEMON PATTY

Patricia (Pat) Ann Hilemon Patty, 79, passed away Dec. 10, 2020.
She was born July 27, 1941, in Irwin. While she lived most of her life in Clinton, she also lived in California, New Jersey, and Alaska.
Pat and her husband Edward (Bud) moved to Alaska in 1979. She enjoyed working at Sportsmedicine Fairbanks for many years, but her heart was always in Tennessee. After 19 years they returned home to retire and do some traveling.
Pat enjoyed making picture quilts and working on family genealogy. She was known for her generosity and hospitality. She was a people person who loved family and checking in on extended family and her numerous cousins
Pat was preceded in death by: Parents, Ed and Helen Hilemon; and husband, Edward Patty.
She is survived by: Siblings, Pamela Hilemon Gross and David Hilemon; sons, Keith (Sheri) Anderson, and Dusten (Laurie) Patty, Jeff (Cathy) Patty, and Dennis Patty; grandchildren, Chris (Angie) Patty, Tiffany Patty, Jenya (Ross) Towler, Drew Anderson and Lillian Patty; great-grandchildren, Taylor Melgaard, Rowan Patty, Gracie Brown, Emery Patty and Autumn Towler.
Graveside services will be held at Oak Ridge Memorial Gardens at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020.
