Cynthia Carolyn "Wilson" Nelson, 78, LaFollette, went home to meet her precious Savior and see family Friday, Dec. 28, 2018.
She was saved at the age of nine, grew up at Mt. Paran Baptist Church. She graduated at Jacksboro High School May 28, 1959. She married to her loving husband Junior Nelson May 1, 1959. Went to California where her husband was in the Navy, moved back to Tennessee and lived in Clinton for 33 years where they worked and retired. They helped build churches in Clinton, Florida and Missouri. Her husband was ordained a Minister in 1981 and started a church in South Clinton, helped to build one in Florida and served in Missouri where her husband Pastored for five years. It was a joy to serve the Lord and see folks get saved. She lead one lady at the age of 99-years old to the Lord. Went and visited with patients at five different Nursing Homes for 34 years. She saw all the states and went to the Holy Land. Her and her husband were missionaries in Belize. She loved to quilt, embroider and travel.
Preceded in death by: Husband, Elmer Nelson Jr.; parents, Elijah and Bessie "Fowler" Wilson; brothers, James O. Wilson, Eugene Wilson, and Wilborne "Cotton" Wilson; sister, Josephine Wright.
Survivors: Brothers, Robert David Wilson; several nieces and nephews; a host of relatives and friends all over the U.S.A. and church folks; four godchildren, Alex Baird, Brooke Evans, Tyler Evans and Hunter Evans.
Services for Mrs. Wilson will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, at New Horizon Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Thomas and the Rev. Josh Etters officiating.
Interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, at Powell Valley Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at New Horizon Baptist Church.

Jannie Julene Richards, 69, Knoxville, passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018, at her home.
Jannie was better known as Jul and Julie to her close friends. She loved camping and fishing. Jannie worked in the deli for several years at the IGA on Edgemoor Road in Claxton in her earlier years. She was manager at several locations of Shoney’s in Knoxville. Jannie fought cancer several different occasions and was proud to say she was cancer free.
Jannie was preceded in death by: Parents, Edgar and Laura Floyd; grandson, Jeffrey Floyd; and brother-in-law, Jim Pointer.
Jannie is survived by: Son, Brian Radcliff of Knoxville; daughter, Kimberly Floyd of Clinton; sisters, Linda Pointer of Corryton, and Christene Simmons and husband Dave of Minton, Fla.; grandchildren, Bradley Floyd, Gregory Floyd, Mathew Floyd, Antonio Radcliff, Zachary Claybough and Laura Radcliff; great-grandchildren, Sophia Baker, Aria Jackson, Aliveea Floyd and Everley Floyd; friend, Randy Crandall of Knoxville; and a host other relatives and friends.

Donald Ray Bean, 69, Oliver Springs, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
He was a wonderful father, loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a Tennessee Titan Fan and a Boy Scout Leader for Claxton. Donald was of the Baptist faith.
Donald was preceded in death by: Parents, Fred and Edna Bean; wife, Bonnie Lynn Bean; brother, Charles Bean; sisters, Mary Rose Ford and Daphine Hopper.
Donald is survived by: Son, Michael Bean (Melissa) of Sparta; daughters, Diana Bean of Oliver Springs, and Sarah Carroll of Oliver Springs; brothers, Ruben Bean (Peggy) of Clinton, “Jimmy” James Edward Bean (Mildred) of Oliver Springs, and the Rev. Fred Bean (Melissa) of Clinton; sisters, Helen Ruth McGill (Dock) of Clinton, Sandra Jobe of Lake City, Joyce Hutchinson (Kenny) of Andersonville, Beatrice Miller (Lester) of Lake City, and Anna Jo Bridges (Eddie) of Lake City; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Donald’s family will receive his friends from 7 – 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, in the chapel of Jones Mortuary. His funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, at Jarnigan Chapel Baptist Church in Clinton with the Rev. Eddie Bridges officiating.
Donald’s interment will follow his funeral service in the church cemetery with full military honors.

TANYA RENEE HAWKINS

Tanya Renee Hawkins, 51, Caryville, passed away Dec. 25, 2018.
Tanya was born April 20, 1967, to Odeva and Twila Lucille Hatmaker Hawkins. Tanya was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She enjoyed riding side by sides, shopping, watching television, and especially loved gospel music.
In addition to her parents, Tanya was preceded in death by her brother, Howard Edward Hawkins.
Survivors: Sisters, Melanie Stewart and Steven of Caryville, Lisa Hawkins of Caryville, BeLinda Stouffer and Dan of Jacksboro, Veronica Patterson and Alvin of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews, and special friends.
Visitation is from 5 – 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City.

Frank Lowe, 77, took off his old coat and put on his new while surrounded by his family and friends Dec. 25, 2018, at his home on Graves Gap Mountain, Briceville.
He is now celebrating a new life with our Lord.
Frank was a member of Graves Gap Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by: Parents, Garrett and Matha Lowe; wife, Nadine Phillips Lowe; five siblings; as well as a son-in-law, James Crain; and sister-in-law, Shirley Lowe.
Frank is survived by: Daughters, Darlene Lowe Crain, Missy Lowe Thornton and husband John of Briceville; brothers, Arden Lowe and wife Blanche, Grant Lowe; and sister, (Dynie) Dyan Duncan and husband Mack, all of Oliver Springs; grandchildren, Megan, Michaela and husband Michael, Kristan, Cody, Joshua, Katelin, Caleb, and Evan; great-grandchildren, Allie, Ashton, Bella, Brooklyn, Eli, Novaleigh, Bayleigh, and Dakota; aunt, Rhoda Randolph; and other nieces, nephews, cousins; also by special friends, Verdi Brown, Darrell Lane, and Tommy Hawkins.
He enjoyed making his rounds to check on the widow women on the mountain, and others that he new were sick, and duck-tape things that need to be fixed. He would always greet someone as a friend that created a trust. Frank worked in several underground mines in the area. His last employment was with Phillips Coal Company.
The family would like to express a special thanks to all the caregivers for their wonderful special care, and others that assisted in food, visits, and prayer in Frank’s illness.
The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, at Graves Gap Baptist Church, Briceville. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. in the family cemetery, with the Rev. Jason Goins, the Rev. Lonnie Lowe, and the Rev. Steve Randolph officiating.

LLOYD R. (BUTCH) NOLAN

The Lord has gained a new right-hand man. Lloyd R. (Butch) Nolan (66), our beloved son, husband, father and the role he enjoyed the most, “Pop,” passed away Dec. 24, 2018.
We are thankful that his loving wife of 44 years was by his side when he left this earth. With great pride, he worked hard to be the best provider for his family. While achieving that with the help of his many friends/coworkers and took great pride in a job well done. He will be missed as he simply was everything to all of us.
Butch is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd R. Nolan Sr; and nephew, James Caldwell.

Ryan Moon Golden “Mooner,” 35, Poway, Calif., passed away Dec. 23, 2018, unexpectedly in a car accident.
Ryan was born and raised in Poway and loved his family and friends more than anything. Ryan was a lover of classic cars and music. He played the guitar and loved to sing. He had two children that he loved with all his heart.

Rita White Hicks was born Sept. 1, 1953, in Lake City to the late Millard and Dorothy Nancy White. Loving Angels came to carry her home Dec. 23, 2018.
She was preceded in death by: Parents; and her former husband and father of her sons, Joseph Michael Hicks Sr.
Rita professed her love in Christ at Island Ford Baptist Church. She attended Riverview Elementary, Lake City Elementary, and graduated from Lake City High School. She went on to graduate from Tennessee Tech University. Rita worked for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for many years. She retired from the TBI. Rita was a very friendly, compassionate, and giving woman, who loved her family unconditionally. She loved spending time with her grandbabies. Her sons and grandbabies were her world.
Rita leaves to cherish her unforgettable memories: Her loving sons, Micheal Hicks (Lacey) and Matt Hicks (Tia); brothers, Bill White (Yoshiko), Larry White (Pauline), and Bob White; sister, Patsy White Duncan (Bill); grandchildren. Kaelyn Alyse Hicks, Matthew Thomas Hicks Jr., Kallie Monroe Hicks, Weston Chander Evans, and Holden Micheal Hicks; devoted nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
