HENRIETTA ‘HEN’ (BARNES) MILLER

Henrietta "Hen" (Barnes) Miller, 67, Andersonville, returned to her heavenly home Nov. 17, 2018, after a valiant battle with a long illness.

Her devotion to family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.

As a native of Caryville, "Hen" was a loving wife, mother, friend and member of Norris First Baptist Church. She was a retired Cosmetologist who enjoyed family, pets, cooking, and always making those around her smile.

She was preceded by: Husband, Glenn Miller; and parents, John and Charlene Barnes.

She is survived by: Son, Brandon Miller of Andersonville; brother, Wendel Barnes of Orlando, Fla.; sisters, Eva Capetta of Orlando, Fla., Elezan Stair of Mascott, Irma Adkins of Murfreesboro, Lenora Herrin of Andersonvlle; niece, Amanda Adkins; nephews, Chris and Eric Adkins, Sean and Todd Argimon, Scott Barnes.

She is also survived by Daphne Brinkley of Steelville, Mo., and LeAnn Hurst-Braden of Andersonville, both were dear friends whom she loved greatly and always considered family.

We would like to thanks Pastor David Seiber and the entire "church family" at Norris FBC for all of their support during this difficult time.

The family will be having a "Celebration of Life Service" at Norris First Baptist Church at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019.

MICHAEL YARBROUGH

Michael Yarbrough, 64, Clinton, passed away at his residence with his loving family by his side on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018.

Michael was member of Sinking Springs United Methodist Church and also attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and retired from truck driving after 20-plus years of service. Throughout his life he loved fishing, going to Waffle House, but most of all spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Michael will be remembered as a family man that had heart of gold.

Preceded in death by: Mother, Sarah Funderburk; and brother, Randy Yarbrough.

He is survived by: Loving wife, Brigitte Yarbrough; children, Jesse Yarbrough, Michelle Kelly and husband Perry, Melissa Smith and husband Jeff, Jason Kitts and wife Brooke, James Jones and wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Zack Williams, Carley Kitts, Jayden Kitts, Kendal Kitts, Molly Smith, Lofton Jones, Destiny Kelly, Phillip Kelly, Railey Kelly, and Caleb Kelly; brothers, Jesse Funderburk and wife Wanda, Chuck Yarbrough; mother-in-law, Wanda Ivey; special niece, Teresa Ivey; his friends who he considered family at Harrison’s Restaurant in Clinton; several nieces, nephews, and host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. His funeral service will follow his visitation with the Rev. Ron Bruce officiating.

His graveside will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018, at Sinking Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery with military honors at graveside.

MARTHA GRAY JAMESON

Martha Gray Jameson, 73, Clinton, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018.

Born in Decatur, Ala., she lived in Clinton for most of her life. Martha earned her B.S. degree in elementary education from the University of Tennessee and a master’s degree in school counseling from Carson-Newman College. She worked for Anderson County and Clinton City School Systems as a teacher/counselor for 31 years. Martha was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Clinton, and was active in several civic organizations including Timely Topics and Garden Club.

Martha was preceded in death by: Parents, Albert and Louise Gray of Claxton; brother, Glenn Gray of Oak Ridge; son, Michael Jameson of Clinton.

Martha is survived by: Husband, of 55 years, Robert “Bob” Jameson; and son, Robert Jr. “Rob” (Kris); brother, Eddie Gray (Darlene); three grandchildren, Robbie, Rachel (Jordan) Temple, and Ryan; and numerous relatives and friends in the Decatur, Ala., and Clinton areas.

Friends will be received from noon – 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018, at First Baptist Church, Clinton. At 2 p.m. a Celebration of Life service will be held, followed by interment at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens, Claxton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of choice.

REVA ROSENBALM

Reva Rosenbalm, 96, Claxton, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018.

She was a member of Old Pleasant Gap Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by: Husband, Fletcher Rosenbalm; daughter, Patsy Rosenbalm; son, Conice Rosenbalm; grandson, Bradley Thompson; and great-grandson, Benjamin Jacob Davidson.

Survived by: Sons and daughters-in-law, Kyle and Nancy Wires of Memphis, Larry and Helen Rosenbalm of Claxton; daughter, Joyce Rosenbalm of Claxton; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and two more due in 2019; brother, H.C. Ridenour; son-in-law, Larry Vinyard; and daughter-in-law, Eve Clarkson; special friends, Bruce and Lisa Crowley and Wayne Webb.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, in the Clinton Chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with a service to follow with Chaplain Mark Kitts and Brother Austin Crowley officiating.

Family and friends will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018, at the funeral home and proceed to Piney Grove Baptist Church in Heiskell for a graveside service at 3 p.m. with Brother Larry Rosenbalm officiating.

EMOGENE DALTON

Emogene Dalton, 92, Norris, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

She was born Oct. 22, 1926, in Barbourville, Ky., to the late Henry and Bertha Prichard Partin. Emogene was a charter member of First Baptist Church of Norris. She was known by many outside of the family as “Mema.” Emogene enjoyed her Friday lunches with her friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: Husband, Clyde E. Dalton; brothers and sisters.

Survived by: Children, Ray Dalton (Peggy), Sam Dalton (Ginger), Pam Robbins (John) and Susan Mayes (Steve); grandchildren, Tim Dalton (Doris), Ami Hartsock (Chad), Josh Dalton (Cortnie), Matthew Dalton (Maggie), Erin Dalton(special friend Andrew Gibbons), Beth Irvin (Paul), Emily Kuhn (Zak), Laurel Cooley (Les), Joel Mayes (Jennifer); great-grandchildren, Evie, Isaac, Kaylin, Anslie, Arlo, Madalyn, Max, Grace, Rebecca, Simon, Mason, Ada, Madison, Mallory, Elijah and Elena; sister, Wanda Bryant.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, at Norris First Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow with the Rev. David Seeber officiating.

Interment will follow at Norris Memorial Garden.

AUDRA REEDY

Audra Reedy, 91, Powell, passed Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, at home.

Ms. Audra was born April 23, 1927, to Sally and Roy Bunch of Frost Bottom. She was a founding member of Norwood Church of Christ; she enjoyed gardening, cooking, and water skiing. Mrs. Reedy was an active D.A.R. member along with being part of the First Families of Tennessee organization.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Reedy is survived by: Husband, Vernon Reedy of Powell; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Ronald Presley of Ten Mile; son Michael Reedy of Powell; two grand-daughters and their husbands, Shea and Jason Crabtree of Decatur, and Amber and Todd Culpepper of Knoxville; four great-grandchildren, Cole, Luke and Tanner Crabtree and Bryce Culpepper; many nieces and nephews along with other family and friends.

Visitation was from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018, with a funeral service to follow, which Pastor Bob Cowles and Associate Pastor Justin Pratt co-officiated, at Norwood Church of Christ, 6001 Central Avenue Pike, Knoxville.

The Interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at Woodhaven Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 160 Edgemoor Road, Powell.

ELZABETH MITCHELL

The heavens received another angel Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, when they called Elizabeth Mitchell home.

Elizabeth was born on Aug. 9, 1927, to Carter and Lucille Murrell in Newport, Ky. Elizabeth was 91 years young and formerly lived in Rocky Top and LaFollette. Elizabeth passed away peacefully with her daughter, Gail, by her side.

Elizabeth was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend and never met a stranger. She loved to fish and was once featured on the cover of a fishing magazine for catching a record size bass while living in Ohio. She loved to cook and garden and was known by her family as the QVC/HSN Jewelry Queen because of her love of jewelry. When she first moved to assisted living her family had to block the shopping channels from her phone because she was ordering jewelry and having it delivered to her apartment on a daily basis. She brought much love and laughter to everyone who knew her and will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: Parents, Carter and Lucille Murrell; husband, Nelson Mitchell; sisters, Diane Brown and Virginia Davidson; brothers, Paul Murrell and John Holland; and step-sons, Tommy White and Ernie Mitchell.

She is survived by: Daughters, Gail Harmon (Archie) of Clinton, Deanne Strickland (Gene) of Washington, and Jeannie Mitchell of Knoxville; sister, Betty Ivanyi grandchildren, Xavier Harmon, Alexandria Miller, Kevin Glandon, Robbie Glandon, Becky Courtney, Jody Courtney, Lee Mitchell and Stacy Mitchell; several great-grandchildre; and numerous nieces and nephews; special family friends, Darlene and Cindy Murphy and Lou Claiborne.

EMMA SUE BUMGARDNER

Emma Sue Bumgardner, 75, Lake City, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018.

Sue was born Nov. 1, 1943, in Lake City to the late James E. and Birdie Mae (Armstrong) Marlow. Sue was a faithful member of Shultz Hollow Baptist Church until her illness prevented her from attending. Sue loved being surrounded by her family, friends and loved her dog "Buttons." She often opened her home for social get-togethers with singing and fellowship. Sue enjoyed working in her flower garden, cooking, baking and was known to make the best chicken and dumplins in three counties.

The funeral service will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glen Marlow and the Rev. Charlie Mac Marlow officiating.

Friends and family will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, to go in funeral procession to the Oak Grove Cemetery for a 10:30 a.m .graveside service.
