Geneva Rutherford turns 104


The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Clinton (TN) resident assistant Kelsie Cox gives a big birthday hug to resident Geneva Rutherford, who recently turned 104 years young! A former math teacher and basketball coach well-known in the Clinton area, Rutherford remains active at the memory care community, attending daily exercise classes, bingo games, sing-a-longs, and many other activities. She can often be found socializing with staff and other residents and is rarely seen without lipstick or well-styled hair. “At 104 years of age, Geneva’s energetic spirit is something we can all admire!” says Lantern program director Sarah Smith.
