The residents of The Waters of Clinton celebrated Memorial Day by creating a creating barn star dedicated to the memory of our soldiers.

The barn star was donated to the American Legion Post 172 and accepted by the Legion Commander Leon Jaquet who has served our County government for 12 years and the Navy for 24 years. The barn star will hold a place of honor at the American Legion located on Spring Street in Clinton.

The Waters would like to thank CalmLearning, WalMart, Food City, and True Value Hardware for supporting their community and making the Memorial Day party and barn star possible.

Ethel, a 100-year-old resident at The Waters, reflected the spirit of the residents when she declared that she was “proud to have a hand in this art piece to pay tribute to her son.” John, the Resident Council Vice-President, took a leading role in supporting and encouraging the creation of the art piece and his enthusiasm was contagious.

The residents wanted to show their appreciation for their community and the brave people who protect them.

The Waters of Clinton says, “Thank You for your service.”
