Anderson County traveled to Clinton High School to face the Lady Dragons in volleyball.

The final score was 3-0, the Lady Mavs winning all three sets.

The set scores, in order, were: 25-12, 25-11, and 25-9.

Both teams brought their A-game to the rivalry match-up, fighting hard and making some amazing plays, including two by Clinton where they managed to save a ball knocked out of bounds, but through quick movement and a team work the Lady Dragons were able to roll with the play. The first save was executed by Cheyenne Fox, and the second by Emma Clevinger.

Anderson County ultimately pulled away from Clinton, still – in the first set, Clinton’s improvement through the season really showed through.

They held their own and even rattled Anderson County on some plays.

Both teams attacked viciously throughout the game, and more than a few rallies ended with a hard spike ricocheting off a wall of hands over the net. The plays were fast and moved quickly, with players constantly rotating and trying to predict one another.

Still – it ended with Anderson County’s victory, and this will leave the still-undefeated team at 4-0 in their region and 17-6 overall this season.

The loss puts Clinton at 1-2 in their region and 3-5 overall for the season.
