Last week-end 34 girls tried out for 19 spots on the All-State Cheerleading Squad, traveling to Manchester, Tennessee for this state-wide competition. Cheerleaders from across the state of Tennessee were recommended by their cheer coaches, turned in applications and had made it through one elimination round before actual try-outs. Finalists participated in interviews, performed a dance routine, separate cheer/chant, and were judged on these categories, as well as cheer jumps and advanced tumbling. Jordan Bowling and Macy Jones, cheerleaders at Anderson County High School were selected as 2019 All-State Cheerleaders. Both Bowling and Jones have been members of the Anderson County High School Cheer Squad for 4 years, cheering for Football and Basketball all four years. Both ladies are also serving as Captains this year.
