SUZANNE BROWN

Suzanne Brown, 72, Clinton, passed away Feb. 28, 2020, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.

Preceded in death by: Parents, Bill and Madge Minton.

Survivors include: Son, Scott Brown; and daughters, Stacy Keith and Carrie Chamberlain; two grandchildren, Carson Chamberlain and Sailor Keith; brother and sister, Billy Minton and Patsy Wise.

Per her wishes, there will be no services.

VICKI LYNN COOPER KEENEY

Vicki Lynn Cooper Keeney, Heiskell, was born Feb. 2, 1954, and passed away Feb. 27, 2020, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by: Parents, Willie Mae and Lloyd Cooper; and brother, Jimmy Cooper.

She is survived by: Husband of 47 years, Gary Keeney; son, Gary Keeney II and wife Annetta Keeney of Heiskell; daughter, Stephanie and husband Benji Braden of Briceville; bonus daughter, Melissa Davis of Powell; grandkids, Alicia (Colton) Lasley, Brittany (Scott) Smith, Lucas Sexton, Lissa (Jacob) Barton, Zachary Davis, Bailey, Abbey and Garrett Braden; great-grandkids, Brennon Bayless, Brinley Lasley, Eli and Hudson Smith, Riley and Sophie Barton.

Vicki was an active member of Greenway Baptist Church. She loved to spread the word of God to everyone she could. She enjoyed crafting, square dancing and being with her family, especially her grandkids. She was a housewife for 10 years before she went to work at Oak Ridge Preschool for 20 years, where she made many friends and loved all the children she worked with.

Family and friends will gather at noon Saturday, March 7, 2020, for a Celebration of Life service for Vicki in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with the Reverend Alan Giles officiating.

STEPHANIE BAILEY

Stephanie Bailey, 35, Clinton, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020, at Parkwest Hospital in Knoxville.

She was born in Oak Ridge to William and Rebecca Phillips Bailey on March 22, 1984. Stephanie was of Baptist faith and graduated from Clinton High School Class of 2003. She loved being a mother to her daughter, Allison. They enjoyed painting and shopping together. She was a loving daughter, mother, aunt, and big cousin. Stephanie will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by: Maternal grandparents, Robert Phillips and Jewel Hooks; paternal grandfather, Thomas Gordon Bailey; special uncle, Bill Miller.

Survived by: Daughter, Allison Tedder; parents, Rebecca and William Bailey; brothers, Nathan Phillips, Aaron Bailey; grandmother, Jerry Bailey; special niece, Breanna Phillips, several aunts, uncles and cousins and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 4 p.m.

KENNETH DUNCAN

Kenneth Duncan, 83, Oliver Springs, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020, at Summit View of Rocky Top.

He was born on July 26, 1936, in Lake City to the late Tom and Ethel Phillips Duncan. Kenneth was of the Baptist faith and loved hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by: Wife, Ollie Duncan; and daughter, Debbie Woods; son, Eddie Duncan; grandson, Michael Scott Hudson; and sister, Loretta Phillips.

Survivors: Daughter, Sandy Hudson and Jackie of Morristown; sons, Roger Duncan of Lake City, Anthony Duncan of Lake City; sister, Darlis Foster and Bill of Lake City; brother, Troy West and Linda of Lake City; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and lots of family and friends; special friends, Pearl Dison and daughter, Patricia Townsend and family.

Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 2020, at Hatmaker Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 2020, in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lonnie Dison officiating.

Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020, at Leach Cemetery in Lake City.

GEORGE GOINS

George Goins, 89, Clinton passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

George was born April 30, 1930, in Kingsport, and was a veteran of the United States Army. George retired from Y-12 in Oak Ridge as a machinist after 31 years of service. Throughout his life George enjoyed helping his friends out with mechanic work on their vehicles and going on mission trips with his church to Belize.

He was preceded in death by: Wife, Mable Goins; daughter, Stephanie Mullins; parents, Kelly and Ada Goins; brothers, Randolph, Richard, Don Goins, and Johnny Ferguson; sister, Jenny Steffie.

He is survived by: Children, Ada Byrd of Clinton, Robert Goins and wife Gaye of Clinton, Matthew Goins and wife Diane of Claxton; grandchildren, Brad, Brandy, Misty, Jennifer, Bobby, Allan, and Vanessa; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Teresa Proffit of Clinton; several nieces and nephews

MAGDALENE ROBBINS FOUST

Magdalene Robbins Foust, 84, a lifelong resident of Anderson County went home to be with the Lord Friday, Feb. 21, 2020.

She was a member of North Clinton Baptist Church in Clinton. She retired from Fort Sanders Hospital and enjoyed working in her yard and had a love for flowers.

She was preceded in death by: Parents, John and Ida Robbins; son-in-law, Earl Crawford.

She leaves behind: Father of her children, Aude Foust and wife Betty; sons, A.C. Foust, Jr. and wife Sandra, C.L. Foust, Darrell Foust and wife Brandi; daughters, Debra Carroll and husband George, Tammy Crawford, Tena Henry; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; special nieces, Fannie Scarbrough, Shirley Riggs; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the caregivers, Betty Vermillion, Sharon Sharp, Diva Janeway and the Covenant Hospice Staff.

The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home with funeral services to follow in the chapel.

CLAUDE THOMAS 'TOMMY' WARD

Claude Thomas “Tommy” Ward, 72, Lake City, passed away Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 5, 1947, in Lake City to the late Ernest and Katherine Hatmaker Ward. Tommy was an army veteran who worked for Martin Marietta for 20 years.

In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by: Wife, Marquette Joann Ward; and siblings, William Ward and Margaret Raines.

Survivors: Son, Ricky Bolinger and wife Joanna; daughters, Tammy Messer and Scott, Marsha (Ward) Maggi, Elizabeth (Bolinger) Powers and husband Duwayne, Autumn (Ward) Huckaby and husband Brad; grandchildren, Beth, Kaleb, Ryan, Kali, Gabrielle, Jules, Maddi, DJ, Morgan, Marques, Mikey, Braxton, and Waylon; great-grandchildren, Kamryn, Aden, Nola, Ashton, Conner, Rylan, Broly, Bryelyn, Levy, Lakein, Cole, Emersynn; siblings, Sarah Brannam and husband Pete, Judy Green, Marshall Raines; special friends, Charles Tackett, Sam Hatmaker; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel in Lake City.

Funeral service will be at 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 2020 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Norton officiating.

Interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020, at New Vasper Cemetery in Caryville with the Military Honors provided by the Campbell County Honor Guard.

RUBYE MAE HARMON

Rubye Mae Harmon, 86, Lake City, passed away Sunday, Feb. 16, 2020, at her residence.

She was born Feb. 23, 1933, to the late William “Bill” and Mary Magdalene Wilson Tackett. Rubye was a member of the Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Andersonville. She loved flowers and gardening.

Rubye was preceded in death by: Parents; husbands, James Lane and John Henry Harmon Sr.; sons, Bill, Kenneth Ray, Terry and John Lane and John Harmon Jr.; daughter, Margaret Sharp; sister, Mary Ruth Massengill; brother, John Tackett; and son-in-law, Frank Braden.

Survivors: Sons, Randy Lane and Tammy of Lake City, Timothy Lane of Lake City; daughters, Faye Hall of Lake City, Bessie Braden of Lake City; brother, Joe Tackett and Paula of Clinton; daughters-in-law, Irene Harmon of Lake City, Helen Lane of Lake City, Donna Lane of Louisiana; son-in-law, Mike Sharp of Lake City, 23 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; special family friend, Steve Pyle of Lake City; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation was from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020, at Hatmaker Funeral Home.
