OTUS CARROLL

Otus Carroll, 87, Rocky Top, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2019, at Tennova North Medical Center in Powell.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in the Korean War. Otus loved races and Ford cars.

He was a member of Fratersville Baptist Church, and enjoyed his Bible study classes at Clinch River Baptist Church in Rocky Top.

Otus was preceded in death by: Parents, King and Mattie Carroll; wife, Reba Carroll; brother, Clayburn Carroll; and sister, Edna Bratcher.

He is survived by: Sisters, Georgia Jobe and husband Johnny of Rocky Top, and Helen Bowlin and husband Ralph of Fratersville; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Otus’ family received his friends from 5–7 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2020, with his funeral following at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Jones Mortuary in Clinton, with the Rev. Larry Webster officiating.

His interment and graveside service were at Oak Grove cemetery in Rocky Top, at 3 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2020.

Jones Mortuary in Clinton was in charge of all arrangements.

LINDA DIANE MILLER

Linda Diane Miller, 64, Clinton, went home to be with the Lord May 27, 2020.

She was preceded in death by: Parents, Marvin Leon Duncan and Marjorie Lucille Bailey; brother, Randy Duncan; and daughter, B.J.

Left behind to mourn her loss are: Son, Jeremy; grandchildren, Kahlea and Gabriel; sister, Debbie; along with many other friends and family.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.–noon Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at Holly-Gamble Funeral Home.

SUE EVANS FOUST SEEBER

Sue Evans Foust Seeber, 83, went home to be with her Lord May 26, 2020.

Sue died peacefully after a long, wonderful life filled with faith, family and love.

Sue was born to Dave and Viola Evans of White Oak on Oct. 4, 1936.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by: Stepmother, Ethel Evans; brothers, Everett, Garrett, Buster, Walter and Frank; and sisters, Eloise Clark and Tommie Sutton. She is survived by: Twin sister, Betty Sorrells of Clinton; and sister, Ann Summers of Virginia Beach.

Sue was married on Oct. 30, 1955, to Wendell Foust. They enjoyed 33 years of marriage before Wendell passed on Oct. 15, 1988.

She leaves behind: Their daughter, Tami Foust Bright (Bruce) of Raleigh, N.C.; granddaughters, Laura and Kimberly; and three great-grandchildren.

Sue later married Earl Seeber and gained three loving stepchildren: Gary Seeber (Tammey), Gail Copeland (Jerry), Linda Miller (Tony) and many grandchildren and great- grandchildren, all surviving.

Sue was a member of Valley View Baptist Church and will be fondly remembered by her church family there and Hillvale Baptist Church, as well as many nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Family and friends called at their convenience from 3 –6 p.m. Thursday May, 28, 2020, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home.

The family will have a private funeral. Interment was held at the Hillvale Baptist Church Cemetery at 11 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2020.

JOHNNY N. TINDELL

Johnny N. Tindell departed this life for the next peacefully in his home surrounded by family on May 26, 2020.

He was born Oct. 9, 1936, in Anderson County to parents Jake and Matha Tindell. He worked for Norris Dam State Park for 39 years. He was also in the Tennessee National Guard. He enjoyed working in the garden, squirrel hunting, and fishing.

He was preceded in death by: Parents, Jake and Matha Tindell; brother, Ray Tindell; sisters, Ruthina Bailey, Jean Humphries, and Faye Riggs; special nephew, Michael Humphries.

He is survived by: Wife of 42 years, Sheryl Tindell; son, Logan (Michelle) Tindell; daughters, Amy (Howard) Martin, and Suzanne (James) Kline; grandchildren, Melinda (Tyler) Stagnolia, Amber Byrge, Leah Byrge, Jacob Byrge, and Zoe Kline; great-granddaughter, Stephanie Stagnolia; special friends, Ike Stooksbury, Bill Andrews, and Jim Gross; several nieces and nephews.

Sheryl would like to thank the hospice team and caregivers, Amy Martin, and Russ Adkisson, for all their help during this difficult time.

MARGARET 'SUE' CAUGHORN

Margaret “Sue” Caughorn, 52, Clinton, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020.

She enjoyed fishing, and was a big fan of “The Golden Girls” and “Roseanne.”

Sue loved spending time with her family, and treasured her rides with Rodie.

Sue was preceded in death by: Parents, Robert and Margaret Hammonds; and son, Michael Caughorn-Reed.

She is survived and will be greatly missed by: Fiancé, Jackie Fowler of Clinton; son, Daniel Reed of Crossville; sister-in-law, Michelle Fowler of Clinton; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Jones Mortuary in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.

TONY KURT PRICE

Tony Kurt Price, 57, Clinton went home to be with his heavenly father Monday, May 25, 2020, at his residence.

Tony was born Dec. 17, 1962, in Gatlinburg and was a member of Second Baptist Church. Tony was a world-class welder at Senior Flexonics Pathway Division for many years. Tony loved spending time with his family and being Papaw to his sweet granddaughter. Throughout his life he enjoyed playing golf and watching the Tennessee Vols.

Tony is survived by: Devoted wife of 37 years, Jane Price of Clinton; son, Nicholas Price and wife Ariel of Heiskell; daughter, Laura Kaitlyn Viles and husband Josh of Richmond, Va.; grandchild, Adalyn Price; mother, Betty Ann Blalock of Sevierville; father, Loy Price and wife Audrey of Gatlinburg; brothers, Keith Price and wife Roberta of Lenoir City, Roger Price and wife Lewayne of Dandridge, Ronnie Price and wife Julie of Beaverton, Ore., Scott Price and wife Sherry of Gatlinburg; many nieces and nephews; best friend, Mike Laverdieve

LLOYD LOUGH

Lloyd Lough, 78, of the Frost Bottom Community, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 24, 2020, at his home.

Lloyd was born October 26, 1941, in Oliver Springs. He was a longtime member of the former Frost Bottom Missionary Baptist Church. Lloyd was locally known for working as a self-employed re-upholsterer for more than 40 years.

He was preceded in death by: Parents, Mikey Lough and Eva Lena Smith Lough; sisters, Helen Brown, Gladys Hensley, and Esther Parks; brothers, Leon Lough, Alvin Lough, and Luke Lough; niece and nephews, Lillian Brown, Little Mikey Lough, Brian Strickland, and Ivan Q. Parks Jr.

Lloyd is survived by: Brother, Albert Lough and wife Lillie Fay; several nieces and nephews.

GLORIA LANE PIERCE

Gloria Lane Pierce, 82, Oak Ridge, went home peacefully to be with her Lord Saturday, May 23, 2020, after many years of living with dementia.

She was born June 14, 1937, in Big Four, W.Va., to James Edward and Minnie Alice Copeland Lane. After completing high school in Welch, W.Va., she earned an A.A. in secretarial science from Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, Va.

She moved to Oak Ridge in 1957 where she worked at the K-25 Gaseous Diffusion Plant. She met and married her husband, Gerald, at Glenwood Baptist Church in Oak Ridge where they are long-time members. She and Gerald also served almost 31 years at Clear Branch Baptist in Lake City. After raising her family, Gloria returned to work as a church secretary, first at Calvary Baptist Oak Ridge for three years and then at Glenwood Baptist Oak Ridge for 19 years.

Gloria was known for her smile that would instantly make you know you were loved and welcomed. She served her churches as a choir member, G.A. leader, and Sunday school teacher. She cherished working with young people and had a heart for missions; that same loving heart led her to help other church members, especially elderly and absent ones. If she saw a need, she stepped in and filled it. Gloria loved to sing and found great joy in flowers, especially daisies and irises.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her older brother, Melvin.

Left to cherish her faithful and loving memory are: Husband, Gerald; children, Edward (Jessica) Pierce, Randall Pierce, and Nancy Pierce; siblings, Claude (Janice) Lane, Nancy (Don) Lane, Robert (Janet) Lane, and Joel (Wanda) Lane; sister-in-law, Pearl Lane; grandchildren, Julia and Elliot Pierce; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, whom she loved dearly.

Family and friends met at Glenwood Baptist Church, Oak Ridge, Thursday, May 28, 2020, for visitation at noon, and funeral at 1 p.m. with Pastor Mark Walton of Glenwood Baptist, Oak Ridge, and Pastor Robert Lane of Harbour Light Baptist, Princeton, W.Va., officiating.

Interment followed at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
