Sue Guy, 75, Oak Ridge, passed away, Sunday, April 19, 2020, at Summit View of Rocky Top.
She was a lifelong resident of this area and of the Baptist faith.
Sue worked in retail and factories all her life and she enjoyed bowling. Sue was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mom, mamaw and friend.
She was preceded in death by: Parents, Arthur Leon and Martha Wilson; husband, Billy Evan Guy; and by sisters, Billy Joyce Fitzgerald, Jane Ollis, and Linda Franks.
She is survived by: Children, Ronda Wales Dunkley and husband Neil of Johnsburg, N.Y., Ann Wales Tankersley of Oak Ridge, Stacie Guy Woodard and husband Eric of Clinton, and Junior Wilson of Harriman; grandchildren, Amber Dunkley, Courtney Dunkley of New York, Maranda Tankersley of Nashville, Rodney Coker and wife Chasity of Powell, Nicoe Webb and husband Lee Turnbill of Knoxville, and Dawson Woodard of Clinton; great-grandchildren, Norah Caselli of New York, Vasanti Collins and Sullivan Collins of New York, Lenna Braunlus of New York, and Hannah Coker of Powell; sisters, Lois Oshell of Rockwood, and Mary Barr-Edelbach of Kingston; and by special friend, Harold Wilson of Jacksboro.
In keeping with Mrs. Guy’s wishes she will be cremated and no services will be held.

Charlotte Marie Smith Cox, 77, Caryville, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2020, at her home.
She was born April 10, 1943, to the late Ester and Delia Renner Smith in Lake City. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake City. Charlotte enjoyed spending time with her “special grandchildren,” Emerson and Cooper Cardwell. She also loved her grand-dogs, Rosco, Daisy and Chewy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: Niece, Lisa Jackson; nephew, Keith Smith; brother, Jim Smith; sisters-in-law, Bobbie Smith, Carolyn Smith and Jane Good.
She is survived by: Daughter, Gabrielle Williams and husband David; sisters, Mildred Shepherd and husband Bob, Billie Jean Olvey and husband Joe; brothers, Bob Smith, Don Good, and Paul Smith; sister-in-law, Colleen Smith.

Michael Trent Shelton, 18, passed away Friday, April 17, 2020, surrounded by family.
A Knox County native, Michael was born to Angel and Michael Eric. He was a senior at Clinton High School. Michael enjoyed welding and loved to walk and be in nature. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Michael was active in the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization, were his Big Brother was Tony Bowers.
He was preceded in death by: Mother, Angel Marie Shelton; and his paternal grandmother, Cathy Cridge.
Left to honor Michael’s memory: Father, Michael Eric Russell; two brothers Austin and Brandon; grandparents, Sandy and Roger Woods and Trent Russell; aunt, Misti Bolden; special cousin and her son, Makayla Copley and Mason; cousins, Jayden Riley, Matthew, Jeremy, Daniel, Justin and Teresa Kay; plus several aunts, uncles and host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at Woodhaven Funeral Home, 160 Edgemoor Road in Powell, where Melvin Myers will officiate.
Covid-19 rules and regulations will be applied.
The family will meet at Bell Campground Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. for the interment.

Avelyne Dawn Lunsford, Powell, God’s precious little angel, sent to us April 3, 2020, and returned to our Savior’s arms on April 17, 2020.
We were blessed to have had the opportunity and privilege to love and care for our beautiful little girl for two blessed weeks. Though our hearts hang heavy, we are comforted in knowing that she is in the arms of Jesus.
Preceded in death and met at the gates by her great-grand parents. and the many relatives to have gone there before her.
The loved ones with whom she has left behind: Loving mother, Brittany R. Lunsford; proud and loving brother, Xaivier Leason Lunsford; aunt, Marikathryn (Katie) R. Lunsford; grandparents, James Leason and Melinda Dawn Lunsford; God-parents, Jason and Dezarae Lopez and dauther Adriana; great-grandmother, Nina D. Lunsford; and many great aunts and uncles, cousins of all generations, and many friends of the family too numerous to name.
Due to the current pandemic our nation and the world is enduring, there will be no gathering of family and friends at this time. We will have a Celebration of Life service held at a later date and will be announced later by Holley Gamble Funeral Home. Terry Lynn Garner, born 23 April, 1957, passed away Wednesday, 15 April, 2020.
He has gone home to be with the Lord after a lengthy battle with cancer.
He is preceded in death by: Mother, Cleo Vivian Coward; father, Kanie Joe Garner; niece, Michelle Nicole Manis; and brother-in-law, Chris Jett.
He is survived by: Two brothers and five sisters, Rick Garner and his wife Teresa, and Benny Garner and his wife Connie, Debbie Manis, Robin Bales and her husband David, Mary Williams, Tammy Garner, and Susie Jett; friend and roommate, Karen Merkley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Terry was a giving and caring man. He loved his family and friends, and would do anything for them. He will be missed by many for his kind hearted nature and smile.

Montine Kemp, 59, Chattanooga, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 4, 1960, in Forest City, Ark. Montine was of the Baptist faith and loved working as an RN, music, movies and reading.
Survivors: Mother, Shirley Roper and Don of Lawrenceville, Ga.; father, Elliott Kemp of Arkansas; aunt, Daisy Hatmaker of Lake City; a host of family and friends
Visitation will be held from noon – 4 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2020, at Hatmaker Funeral Home.
A private graveside service will be held Friday, April 17, 2020, at the Leach Cemetery in Lake City with the Rev. Roger Leach Officiating.
The interment will follow the Graveside Service.

KENNETH ‘KENO’ LEEROY RHEA

Kenneth “Keno” Leeroy Rhea, 76, Andersonville, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020.
He was born Feb. 22, 1944, in Paso Robles, Calif., to Kyle and Viola Gadd Rhea. Kenneth retired from the United States Army after serving 23 years, and then later retired from the Anderson County Sheriff’s Department.
He was a great storyteller and enjoyed telling stories about his time in the service. Kenneth was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt, fish, explore the back county, woodworking and travel. He was a member of the Valley Lodge 383 in Andersonville. He was a loving husband, father and good friend to many.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by: Brothers, Lynn and Jerry Rhea; son, Allen Rhea; grandson, Kenneth Allen Rhea.
Survived by: Wife, Bertha “Bep” Rhea; daughter, Tammy Littlejohn and Raymond Nix; step-sons, Jeff McAfee and wife Donna, Larry McAfee and wife Julie; siblings, Jack Rhea and wife Teensie, Bill Rhea, Johnny Rhea and wife Patsy, Judy Lee; grandchildren, Annie and Mark Littlejohn, Keagen, McKenzie, Conner, Natalie and Levi McAfee, Aubry Kerr and husband Riley, Jodie Amaya; great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Jennifer, Ricky and Kayleigh.
The family will have a private graveside service Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Sevierville.

Carolyn Humphrey, 62, Heiskell, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2020, at her residence.
Carolyn worked at Levi Straus as a seamstress and the Anderson County School System. Throughout her life she loved making quilts, taking vacations at the beach, mowing, gardening and canning, and going to church, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Carolyn was a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by: Mother, Ruby Fay Lindsey Warwick; father, Dover Warwick; sisters, Phyllis Sue Warwick, Sherry Darlene Warwick, and Shirley Goodenough; father and mother-in-law, Bud and Trula Mae Bell Humphrey.
Carolyn was a strong believer of Jesus Christ and will forever be remembered by her husband and family.
She is survived by: Husband, Harold Humphrey; children, Jody Humphrey and wife Kim, Stacey Arneach, Marty Humphrey and wife Brooke; grandchildren, Robert Davis, Colton Humphrey, Jessica Lively, Conner Humphrey, Autumn Grace Arneach, Parker Humphrey, and Christian Morgan; sister, Marlena Warwick; brothers, Ricky Warwick and Wiley Warwick; step-brother, Jim Berry; step-sister, Erine Casing.
