DONNA FAYE GRIFFITH

Donna Faye Griffith, 76, Jacksboro, passed away Sunday, Aug.19, 2018, at her home.

Donna was of the Baptist faith. Donna was born on June 8, 1942, in Briceville to the late Kelly and Maudie Lisenbee. Donna loved taking care of children and was loved by family and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by: Parents; brothers, Jerry and Wade Lisenbee; sister, Shirley Powell

Survivors: Husband, John Griffith of Lake City; sons, Mario Cenda of California, Jerudro Cenda of California; daughter, Lena Griffith of California, Karla Perez of California; brother, Terry Lisenbee of Oliver Springs

Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, in Hatmaker Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel.

Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, at Leach Cemetery, Lake City for Donna's interment.

JOHN DAVID LANE

John David Lane, 63, Lake City, passed away Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.

He was born June 26, 1955, in Anderson County. John was loved by his family and friends and he loved his Momma and his sons very much. He was a member of the Frattersville Baptist Church. John was a hard worker who was very energetic and had a very positive attitude. He loved fishing, going to flea markets, having a garden, cooking, bowling, craw fishing, frying shrimp, watching football and riding his tractor. John was a US Marine Corps Veteran who served in Vietnam and was very proud to serve his country.

He was preceded in death by: Father, James E. Lane; brothers, Kenneth, Bill and Terry Lane; father and mother-in-law, Arvel and Edna Crow; step-father, John H. Harmon.

Survivors: Mother, Ruby Mae Harmon of Lake City; wife, Donna Lane of Louisiana; sons, John Lane II of Louisiana, Jody Lane and wife Kelly of Louisiana, Jason Lane of Louisiana; brothers, Randy Lane and Tammy, Tim Lane; sisters, Faye Hall, Margaret Sharp and Mike; grandchildren, Kamryn Hoyt and Paige Porter; special family friends, Ryan Bourg, Corey Castleberry, Colby Clark and Lester Moore; in-laws, Kenneth Crow and Karen, Dee Clavier and Dale, Keith Crow and Peggy, Darla Sanders and Brian, Denise Huckaby and David, Karl Crow and Sheila.

Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, at Hatmaker Funeral Home.

A Military Service will follow visitation at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, provided by the Campbell County Honor Guard. The funeral service will follow the Military Service, Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Josh Hawkins officiating.

Per John’s request, he will be cremated following his services.

PATRICE ANNE KILE

Patrice Anne Kile, 71-years old, passed away Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge, following a lengthy illness.

Patrice was the oldest of seven children born to Dr. James C. Kile Jr. and Grace Spengler Kile, who preceded her in death. Patrice was born on Dec. 6, 1946, in Oak Ridge and grew up on the Kile family farm just outside of Oak Ridge, where she spent many hours riding horses and developing an interest in thoroughbred racing. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, the Girl Scouts, and the Swank-Ettes of Oak Ridge High School, where she graduated with the class of 1964.

In 1969, Patrice graduated from Edgecliff College in Cincinnati, Ohio, with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. During her time in college, she began her life-long love of all things Cincinnati, especially her beloved Bengals. During her work career there, Patrice especially enjoyed her chemistry research with product development at Procter and Gamble. In addition to following local sports, Patrice could be found walking her cat through the neighborhood, antique hunting, driving her gray Chevy Camaro, or fixing the tastiest fudge in the city. She enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S., with a special interest in visiting western states and enjoying beach trips with her friends.

In addition to her parents, Patrice was preceded in death by: Brother-in-law, Adair Hotchkiss.

She is survived by: Sisters and brothers, Debbie Hotchkiss of Oak Ridge, Dorn Kile (Laura) of Clinton, Kathleen Cullen (Jim) of Cypress, Texas, Dr. James C. Kile III (Tram) of Decatur, Ga., Kevin Kile of Marietta, Ga., and Carolyn Thomas (David) of Peachtree City, Ga.

She is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews and 11 great-nieces and great-nephews.

We would like to thank the staff of Victorian Square in Rockwood for the loving care they have provided Patrice for many years.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, you may choose to make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or a charity of your choice.

A family graveside service will be held at Anderson Memorial Gardens on Friday, Aug. 24, 2018.

NORAH GAIL CARDEN LOVE

Norah Gail Carden Love went home to be with our sweet Lord Aug. 16, 2018.

She was a member of East Jacksboro Baptist church. Gail loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a huge fan of Tennessee football. She enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Preceeded in death by: Father, Carl Carden, and mother, Gladys P. Carden.

She is survived by: Two loving children, Jessica and Jacob Foust; grandchildren, Norah Foust, Trevor Van Severen, Jaxton Van Severen, Brooklyn Foust, and Brianna Carroll; brothers, Tommy Carden and wife Candy, Steve Carden and wife Barbara; sister, Cathy Daugherty, Tony Carden and her companion Guy Love; along with many nieces nephews and friends.

She will be missed by all that knew her.

Graveside memorial will be at noon Saturday Sept. 1, 2018, at Clear Branch Baptist Church in Rocky Top.

REBECCA SUE GALVIN

Rebecca Sue Galvin, 58, Clinton, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, at her home.

Becky was a CNA for many years before working with children both at St. Mark United Methodist Church daycare and with Anderson County Schools.

Becky was preceded in death by: Parents, Delford and Clara Belle Marlow; infant daughter, Cynthia Jeffers; brother, Delford Marlow Jr.; grandson, Briyson Galvin.

Becky is survived by: The love of her life, grandson, “Baby Dale” Victor Delford Watson; her children, Tyler Galvin and Angel Galvin; sisters, Darlene Hensley and husband Randy, Nancy Hutchinson, and Penny Pass and husband Dennis; grandson, Aiden Galvin; several special nieces and a nephew.

The family will receive friends from noon – 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m.

Interment will follow the service in Red Hill Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank UT Hospice especially Tammie and Shannon and Chaplain Ben Neal for their love and support during Becky’s illness. Also, special cousins that helped with the care of Becky, Kathy, Patty, and Martha along with very special family friend Tammie Allen.

LUCILLE E. BOLES

Lucille E. Boles, 77, Clinton passed away Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, Knoxville.

She was born Feb. 9, 1941, in Danbury, Conn., to the late Jerry and Jenny Manone.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: Husband, Gerald Boles; and brother, Jerry Manone.

She is survived by: Son, Michael Manone and wife Lisa of Ten Mile; grandchildren, Caroline, Jacob and Haley Manone, Sean Long, Jessica Hawes, Shayna Lamb, Joshua Willey, Samantha Willey, and Noah Manone; great-grandson, Jonathan Turgeon/Willey; brother, Jimmy Manone; several nieces and nephews.

The family will have a memorial service held at a later date.

LEON FOUST

Leon Foust, 72, Clinton, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, at his residence.

Leon was born on Sept. 25, 1945, in Anderson County to the late Claude Foust and Annie Phillips Foust. Leon was a member of Clinch River Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Leon was preceded in death by: Brother, Woodrow Foust; and sister, Cleta Seiber.

Survivors: Wife, Sandra Jones Foust of Clinton; son, Ricky Foust of Clinton; nephew, Zachary Seiber; good friend, Brenda Braden of Oliver Springs; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018, at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City.

Funeral service will be at 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018, in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel, Gerald Hatmaker officiating.

Family and friends will meet at 10:15 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, at Hatmaker Funeral Home to go in procession to the Foust Cemetery in Lake City for an 11 a.m. interment.

CLYDE EUGENE WHARTON

Clyde Eugene Wharton, 94, Clinton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018, at his home in Clinton.

Clyde enjoyed making people laugh with his good clean jokes. He had the gift of laughter. Clyde was an elder of his church, Clinton Church of God. He was very active in church ministries and activities such as Children’s Church and Boys’ Club. He worked as a custodian for the church and was an artist.

Clyde was preceded in death by: Son, Clyde “Billie” Wharton Jr.; and daughter, Ruthann Wharton.

Clyde is survived by: Wife, Fay Wharton of Clinton; daughter, Linda Dawson of Vermont; grandchildren, Kevin Wharton and wife Cindy of Knoxville, and Carolyn Wharton of Washington; numerous great-grandchildren as well as many other relatives and friends.

Clyde’s family will have a Celebration of Life service at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018, at Clinton Church of God with the Rev. Curtis Akers officiating.

Clyde’s interment will be private.
