Anderson County track wins Campbell County meet

Track teams from Anderson County High and Clinton High School participated in a meet at Campbell County High School on Tuesday.

Anderson County finished in first place in the men’s and women’s divisions.

Clinton finished fourth in each division.

Sophmore Harrison Ogburn of ACHS won the boys pole vault (7-.06.00). Teammate Grant Hayes (sophomore) was second with a distance of 6-06.00.

Sophomore Rillie Wax of ACHS won the girls long jump (12-11.50). Teammate Mackensi Crumley (freshman) took second with a distance of 12-08.00. Freshman Madison Marsee of CHS finished fifth wit a distance of 12-03.00.

Junior Parker Fulton of ACHS won the boys long jump with a distance of 19-07.00. Clinton sophomore Jacob Manning was fourth with a distance of 16-05.00.

In the girls triple jump, Anderson County sophomore Jessica Meredith won with a distance of 28-05.00. Teammate Brookley Housley (freshman) finished second with a distance of 25-04.00.

Fulton won the boys triple jump with a distance of 35-09.00 and the boys high jump (5-00.00) as well.

Meredith won the girls high jump with a jump of 4-06.00. Teammate sophomore Kaylee Castleberry was second with a height of 4-04.00.

Anderson County senior Taylor Foust finished third in the girls shot put with a distance of 25-01.25. Junior Rachel Brock of ACHS was sixth (19-00.00) while junior Jessica Jordan of CHS was seventh with a distance of 18-08.75. Clinton junior Kenzie Howard was eighth (15-06.75), CHS freshman Kyndal Reed was ninth (14-05.00), and CHS sophomore Haiden Reed was 10th with a distance of 13-08.75.

Anderson County’s Joseph Randolph (junior) won the boys shot put with a distance of 36-11.50. Clinton senior Josh Durr was second with a distance of 36-09.00. ACHS freshman Cole Dark was third (35-07.50) and teammate Wyatt Hull (junior) was fourth with a distance of 32-04.50. Clinton junior Andrew Olson took sixth (30-11.75) and ACHS sophomore Matthew Bass was 10th (27-03.50).

Taylor Foust also took third in the girls discus throw (60-09) while Jessica Jordan was fourth (60-02.50).

Wyatt Hull won the boys discus throw (92-06.75) and teammate Cole Dark took third with a distance of 91-04.75. Joseph Randolph (ACHS) was fourth (91-04), Clinton’s Andrew Olson was fifth (91-03.25), Matthew Bass (ACHS) was seventh with a distance of 71-03.50, and Clinton senior Jonathan James was ninth with throw of 62-11.

Anderson County’s Sarah Freeborn won the girls 3200M run with a time of 19:13.83.

Anderson County’s Micah Sawyer was second in the boys 3200M run with a time of 11:35.22.

Brittany Bishop of ACHS won the girls 100M hurdles with a time of 15.96. Clinton sophomore Isabella Vibbert was third with a time of 18.95. Mackensi Crumley (ACHS) was fifth with a time of 19.69 and Brookley Housley was seventh with a time of 20.76.

Anderson County’s Grant Hayes won the boys 110M hurdles with a time of 19.04.

The Anderson County team of Brittany Bishop, Sydney McCreary, Mackensi Crumley, and Rillie Wax won the girls 4x100M relay with a time of 56.30.

The Anderson County team of Josie Logan, Mollie Longmire, Jessica Meredith, and Maddy Moody won the girls 4x800M relay with a time of 11:71.39.

The ACHS team of Grant Hayes, Harrison Ogburn, Kirby Logan, and Parker Owens won the boys 4x800M relay with a time of 9:42.48.

Clinton’s Grace Schrider finished third in the girls 100M dash with a time of 14.20. Rillie Wax of ACHS was fourth with a time of 14.41. Megan Kiehl of ACHS was seventh with a time of 14.99 and Katie Woodward of ACHS was ninth with a time of 15.22.

In the girls 1600M run, Maddy Moody of ACHS won with a time of 5:35.31. Teammate Sarah Freeborn was fourth with a time of 8:29.35.

Micah Sawyer of ACHS was second in the boys 1600M run with a time of 5:09.96. Clinton’s James Bigler was fifth with a time of 5:55.72. Teammates Lee Collier was sixth (6:13.17) and Daniel Cantillion was eighth (6:29.28).

In the boys 4x200M relay, the CHS team of Anthony Krause, Jacob Manning, Luke Youngblood, and Anthony Cagle took second.

In the girls 400M dash, Emma Schrider of CHS finished in second with a time of 1:05.66 while teammate Lily Taylor was fourth (1:07.76) and Megan Kiehl of ACHS was seventh with a time of 1:10.81.

In the boys 400M dash, Jonathan Hughes (ACHS) was second with a time of 52.02.

In the girls 300M hurdles, Anderson County’s Brittant Bishop was first with a time of 49.29. Teammates Mackensi Crumley was second with a time of 54.39 and Brookley Housley was third with a time of 56.42.

Anderson County’s Parker Fulton won the boys 300M hurdles with a time of 46.14.

Anderson County’s Maddy Moody won the girls 800M run with a time of 2:32.43. Teammate Josie Logan was second with a time of 3:13.30 and Clinton’s Kaylee Puleo was fourth with a time of 3:37.65.

Kirby Logan of ACHS was first in the boys 800M run with a time of 2:23.33. Clinton’s James Bigler was second with a time of 2:41.97. Teammates Daniel Cantillion was fourth (2:51.95), Lee Collier was fifth (3:08.53), and Logan Prater was sixth with a time of 3:09.31.

Clinton’s Isabella Vibbert was second in the girls 200M dash with a time of 29.10. Teammates Lily Taylor was third (29.40) and Brynn Biddle was sixth with a time of 30.79. Katie Woodward of ACHS was ninth with a time of 32.09 and Ashley Bunch of CHS was 10th with a time of 32.69.

Anderson County’s Jonathan Hughes was second in the boys 200M dash with a time of 24.63. Teammates Jordan Braden was fifth (25.55), Harrison Ogburn was eighth (26.42), Parker Owens was ninth (26.87), and Anthony Krause was 10th (27.00).

The ACHS team of Kaylee Castleberry, Megan Kiehl, Jessica Meredith, and Maddy Moody won first in the girls 4x400M relay with a time of 4:47.82.

The Anderson County team of Jordan Braden, Grant Hayes, Kirby Logan, and Harrison Ogburn won first place in the boys 4x400M relay with a time of 3:59.63.
