Lady Wildcats win

The 16th ranked Oak Ridge Lady Wildcat Volleyball team took their 10 game win streak to Bearden Thursday night and levied their third consecutive sweep in district play.

The Lady Wildcats won in three sets — 25-17, 25-15, and 25-22.

“We’re halfway through the district part of our schedule and we’re 3-0, which is exactly where we want to be,” said Head Coach Dave Kolodney. “This was a good win against a new team in our district [District 4-3A] so we don’t have a ton of knowledge about them.”

This is the first year that Bearden and West have been added to the district with Oak Ridge.

“The girls adjusted on the fly and fought through some adversity to come out on top,” continued Kolodney, “We’ve got three more good teams to go so just have to keep focused on the next game.”

Olivia Milloway had 10 points (two aces), six kills, one block, one assist, and eight digs.

Paige Halcrow had seven points (two aces), 10 assists, and three digs.

Oak Ridge returns to action on Friday when they host Hardin Valley Academy at 6 p.m.
