Hawks roll over Red Devils
The Clinton Middle School Hawks rolled to a 51-32 win over visiting Horace Maynard on Thursday evening.
The Hawks staked themselves to a 13-7 in the first quarter as Rishon Bright, Jackson Garner, Trace Thackerson, and Tyler Morgan shared the scoring for Clinton.
The Red Devils bounced back a bit in the second quarter as they posted 10 points but the trio of Bright, Thackerson, and Lane Harrison managed to put up 14 points and give the Hawks a 27-17 lead at the half.
Clinton took a commanding 43-23 lead in the third quarter and Head Coach James Jones utilized his bench throughout the second half and in the fourth quarter in particular.
The Hawks held on in fourth quarter and came away with the win.
Clinton returns to action on Nov. 16 when they visit Robertsville. They will host Jacksboro on Nov. 20.
Tip-off for each game is 7 p.m.
