Lady Dragons win again
The Clinton Lady Dragons moved to 4-0 last Tuesday with a 49-44 win at Oakdale.
The Lady Dragons took a 19-11 lead in the first quarter but Oakdale battled back in the second quarter to take a 22-21 lead at the half.
Driven by the scoring of Amaya Whitt, Nikki Jones, and Danyel Joy, Clinton reclaimed the lead at 33-32 at the end of the third quarter.
Kinley Martin, Alayjah Whitt, and Abby Szabo added scoring for the Lady Dragons as the pulled away down the stretch for the win.
Joy led Clinton with 16 points while Amaya Whitt had 13 points and Jones had 11 points, with nine of her points coming on three 3-pointers.
The Lady Dragons will return to action on Friday when they visit Campbell County. They will host Anderson County on Tuesday.
Tip-off for each game is set for 6 p.m.
