Dragons struggle early

The Clinton Dragons lost at Oakdale last Tuesday by a score of 90-70.
“We’ve worked so hard implementing our new offensive scheme our defense has struggled,” said Chris Lockard, head coach of the Dragons.

He said part of the problem is being short-handed due to injury and from changes to the line-up from the summer.
“We’re just not stopping the initial transition or initial penetration. The extra effort is what we’re missing,” Lockard said. “We’re making strides there [defensively] and hopefully we’ve started to fix that issue.”
The loss dropped the Dragons to 0-3.
Game stats were not available at press time.
Clinton returns to action on Friday at Campbell County. They host Anderson County on Tuesday.
Tip-off for both games is 7:30 p.m.
