Fugate is Student of the Month

Lacey Fugate (at work in the Soup Kitchen) is the Innovation Academy Student of the Month. Lacey has worked hard in class this semester and is graduating in December. She also works at the Soup Kitchen in Oak Ridge. She has been working there two years but she knew the Soup Kitchen Environment well before working there due to familial ties with the restaurant. Her work duties include training new staff members, serving, cooking, and helping to manage the restaurant on most nights. Lacey is looking forward to attending TCAT and entering the medical field. High school students in Anderson County Schools’ Innovation Academy participate in one of two unique programs with online curriculum. In the Anderson County Online Learning Academy (ACOLA) students are able to work at home with the help of certified teachers. .High school students who do not have enough credits to graduate with their peers can come to Bridge Academy and make up the credits they need to graduate.
