Company monitoring gas wells vandalized
A company specializing in monitoring gas wells in the Briceville area has been the target of theft and vandalism at least three times.
Diversified Gas and Oil of Clinton had monitoring devises vandalized and batteries that power the wells stolen from:
• Cross Mountain Coal Road, Briceville;
• Tennessee Hollow Lane, Briceville; and
• Bill Black Lane, Briceville.
Incidents were reported to Anderson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Robert J. Collins between Jan. 26 and Jan. 30.
The matter has been turned over to the Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigation Unit.
