Weigel’s grand reopening of OR Illninois Avenue store announced

Weigel’s , East Tennessee’s oldest local dairy, announces the grand reopening of its 66th store, a state-of-the art convenience store in Oak Ridge at 417 South Illinois Avenue.

“Our customers deserve innovative convenience and product offerings,” said Ken McMullen, CEO of Weigel’s. “We are excited to bring an updated presence here on Illinois Avenue, and especially with some new product food offerings”.

Located inside the store, guests can get fresh hot pizza – by the slice or the whole pizza.

“Our pizzas are great for a quick lunch, mid-day snack, or great to take home for a quick family meal. They’re hot, fresh, and ready to go,” said McMullen.

Award winning fresh Weigel’s milk continues to be delivered locally from Weigel’s Powell dairy, established in 1931. All Weigel’s milk is from local East Tennessee dairy farmers and is delivered from farm-to-store within 24 hours.

The Oak Ridge store also offers Weigel’s fresh baked goods: donuts, cinnamon rolls, muffins and cookies, delivered daily from Weigel’s Knoxville based bakery. It also features no-fee ATMs.

“We want to assure our customers of a great shopping experience. Our focus of fresh local product offerings and convenience is what we strive for every day” stated McMullen.

A special Grand Opening celebration started Monday March 5, and runs through Sunday March 11.
