RSCC hosting healthcare job fair March 28
While more than 30 area healthcare employers are signed up as exhibitors for Roane State’s 10th annual Healthcare Job Fair, others are cordially invited, of cials said.
The fair is scheduled from 12:30 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, in the atrium and adjoining hallways of the Coffey-McNally Building of Roane State’s Oak Ridge campus, 701 Briarcliff Ave. Employers will start setting up booths and displays that morning. There is no registration fee.
Representatives of healthcare rms wanting to participate are asked to register by March 21. To register, visit www.roanestate.edu/jobfair Space is limited. The event is a collaborative effort between Roane State’s Placement Of ce and the college’s Nursing and Allied Health Sciences divisions.
For students in Roane State’s healthcare elds who are graduating soon, the event is an opportunity to meet with prospective employers, learn about their job opportunities and in some cases, submit resumes. “They (the prospective employers) are looking for people to work." said Alicia Hall with the college’s workforce placement program. She’s overseeing this year’s fair.
“We will even have CEOs of local hospitals attend in efforts to attract the best talent for their facilities,” Hall said. Representatives of hospitals, nursing homes, medical record-keeping rms, and physical and occupational therapy clinics – along with employers in other healthcare-related elds will be on hand. No other educational institution in the area offers a similar event
