‘Thank you’ to Rocky Top Worship Center

Letters

I would like to say “Thank You” to the Rocky Top Worship Center located in Rocky Top for the generosity it showed during an Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) during the weekend of April 21.

They (The Center) allowed the Rocky Top Fire Department and Medford Volunteer Fire Department to use their property for the purpose of educating, training, and testing firefighters’ abilities to drive an emergency apparatus.

They granted us permission to use their parking lot as grounds for the road course required for the training. Nine (9) of our firefighters and five (5) firefighters from the Medford Volunteer Fire Department attended this class and received valuable training as a result of the generosity that the Rocky Top Worship Center showed by providing the Rocky Top Fire Department and Medford Volunteer Fire Department access to their facilities.

We successfully recertified (13) firefighters and certified one (1) new firefighter due to the Rocky Top Worship Center’s willingness to help local fire departments.

This training is not only beneficial to the firefighters who attended the class, but also to our citizens in the community we serve.

Thank you,

Joshua S. Lane

Assistant Chief/Training Officer
