ACHS Fishing Team qualifies for nationals
Anderson County High School anglers Storm Cline (left) and Tanner Scruggs (right) finished seventh in the Tennessee B.A.S.S. High School Trail State Championship last Saturday. The tournament was held at Old Hickory Lake in Gallatin and the pair finished with a three-day total of 22.39 lbs. The first place team — Ezra Smith and Devin Howard of Walker Valley — had a three-day total of 32.73 lbs. With their finish at the state level, Cline and Scruggs qualified for the high school national championship tournament to be held on Kentucky Lake in Paris, Tenn. on Aug. 2-4.
