ACHS Track does well at Oak Ridge

The Anderson County High School Track Team had participated in a meet last Friday at Oak Ridge.

Both the Lady Mavs and Mavericks enjoyed individual success.

In the Girls 100 Meter Hurdles, Brittany Bishop won the event with a time of 15.23. Mackensi Crumley was eighth (19.62) and Cameron Castleberry was 10th (20.94). Brookelyn Housley just missed the top 10 with a finish of 21.00.

Maddy Moody won the Girls 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:19.58. Mollie Longmire was third in the event with a time of 2:23.25. Kaitlyn Payne (2:53.68) and Josie Logan (2:55.10) also placed in the event.

Brookelyn Housley was fourth in the Girls 300 Meter Hurdles with a time of 50.35. Ally Perry was ninth with a time of 1:00.21.

Perry also finished 8th in the Girls High Jump (4-2.00).

In the Girls 100 Meter Dash, Rillie Wax (14.30) and Grace Isbel (15.70) placed.

In the Girls 200 Meter Dash, Bailey Wilder (34.53) and Tamara Heath (34.90) placed.

Mackensi Crumley was seventh in the Girls Triple with a distance of 29-3.00. She also placed in the Girls Long Jump (13-0.25).

Christa Carpenter placed in Girls Long Jump (12-8.50) as well.

In the Girls Discus Throw, Kaitlyn Payne placed (76-10.00) and in the Girls Shot Put, Josie Logan placed with a distance of 20-1.50.

For the Mavericks, Parker Owens took second in the Boys Long Jump with a distance of 20-1.50. Grant Hayes was seventh (19-2) and Nico Amato placed (16-10.50).

Micah Sawyer was second in the Boys 3200 Meter Run (10:36.06) and Kirby Logan was third (10:41.31).

Logan was fifth in the Boys 800 Meter Run (2:08.49) while Parker Owens was eighth (2:11.53).

Owens also placed in the Boys 1600 Meter Run with a time of 4:56.88.

In the Boys 100 Meter Dash, Luke Overton (12.60) and Noah Roach (13.31) placed.

Nico Amato placed in the Boys Triple Jump with a distance of 33-9.

In the Boys Discuss Throw, three Mavericks placed — Wyatt Hull (104.65), Joseph Randolph (102-7), and Matthew Bass (87-5.50).

Randolph was seventh in Boys Shot Put with a distance of 40-10 Hull placed with a distance of 34-10.25.
