Paws II cuts ribbon on new location at Frank L. Diggs Drive


Paws II Pet Salon and Day Camp, 160 Frank L. Diggs Drive in Clinton is the new location of Paws originated in Powell.

The new location offers the same services, but with more space — which includes a large play area for animals attending the new day camp.

“We love animals,” co-owner Misty McKamey said Saturday during the second day of their two-day grand opening event. “That’s what it boils down to.”

Paws II specializes in grooming (all breeds), obedience and confirmation training, and offers a wide selction of holistic food products and treats.

McKamey and Tracy Gardner are the mother-daughter duo who the business.

Gardner has 10-plus years raising, breeding, and showing American Kennel Club registered Boxers, but her knowledge of animals doesn’t stop there.

Gardner has 25-plus years experience grooming. Paws II also offers walk-in nail clipping service.

McKamey and Gardner make a point of welcoming every pet — no matter what it is — and making it feel special.

Saturday’s event showcased a plethora of pets who were basking in the attention of visitors and staff alike.
