New trail dozer expected at Norris Dam
A purchase order has been issued for a new trails construction dozer for Norris Dam State Park.
Funding for this equipment provided by a Recreation Trails Grant (RTP), regulated by the Tennessee Department of Conservation – Recreational Services Division.
The grant was issued in September 2016 and finally all the necessary checks and balances have been resolved.
Trails volunteer Chuck Morris is excited about the acquisition and looks forward to getting on with building some six miles of new trails already planned.
The dozer will be used for maintenance of existing trails also.

The person with the winning suggestion will get an opportunity to have your photo made while sitting in the dozer seat (not operating).
Delivery is expected in August.
