Maryville College Football and the Fighting Scots Gridiron Club will host the 2018 East Tennessee 7 on 7 Perimeter Passing Day on July 14.
The event will feature two sessions.
The first session will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 1 p.m.
The second session will begin at 1 p.m. and conclude at 5 p.m.
The event was organized in memory of Cody Bowers, a Maryville College football coach and alumnus who died tragically in the fall of 2007.
A total of 33 schools committed to the event, which matches teams up into pools and allows each to practice their passing game for the upcoming season.
Schools participating include:
The Anderson County Mavericks open play at 1 p.m. against Lenoir City.
At 2 p.m., the Mavericks will face Ooltewah and at 3 p.m. they will play Tennessee High.
Anderson County will conclude action at 4 p.m. when they face Elizabethton, a team they bounced from the playoffs last season.
Admission for the event is $5 and concessions will be available. Spectators should bring law chairs.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Maryville College football program.
