Day of Voluntering 2018
Several Anderson County non-profits reaped the benefits of Y-12’s Day of Volunteering last week. More than 200 volunteers comprised of employees of the Y-12 National Security Complex, their families and friends assisted more than 20 non-profit agencies in Knox, Anderson, Roane and Morgan counties. This year marks the 15th anniversary of the program, and Consolidated Nuclear Security, LLC, is proud to sponsor this year’s employee-led projects. Y-12 employees and their family members volunteered at Anderson County High School sprucing up the walkway areas at the high school, just in time for the new school year. More than 200 Y-12 employees, family members and friends lending a hand to area communities through more than 20 projects this year.
