St. Mark Fall Fun Fest is set for this weekend
St. Mark United Methodist Church’s Fall Fun Fest is Friday and Saturday, Sept. 7-8, on the corner of North Main and Church streets in downtown Clinton.
St. Mark acknowledges and appreciates the community’s support of this important mission during the last 20 years and invites the community to again help the church aid families in Anderson County and beyond with clothes and school supplies, shoes and gifts at Christmas, food for the hungry, and a “hands-on” mission providing clothes and supplies to children in Mexico.
There is a huge rummage sale in the church fellowship hall from 9 a .m. – 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 7.
The highlight of the day on Saturday is a live auction at 1 p.m. in the church annex building on Hicks Street. Auction items featured are tickets to area entertainment venues, gift certificates for food and lodging, as well as other interesting and useful items donated by area merchants and church members.
Free games with prizes for children will be going on Saturday, and old-fashioned cake walks will be held throughout the day. Home-baked items will be available for sale and the “Chuck Wagon” kitchen will sell drinks, chips and hot dogs with its famous homemade chili.
The Fun Fest is sponsored annually by the United Methodist Women of St. Mark.
