The 25th Ranked Oak Ridge Lady Wildcat Volleyball Team travelled to Campbell County last Tuesday to face the Cougars in a District Match.

The Wildcats were missing senior co-captain Piper Halcrow, who was sidelined with a foot injury, yet the Lady ‘Cats came out swinging and swept Campbell County in three sets.  “I liked what I saw from our team tonight,” said Head Coach Dave Kolodney.  “We had our player of the week out with injury and needed to call up a couple of JV players and they contributed right from the start.”

The Lady ‘Cats faced off against 18th ranked Knoxville Catholic in at-home action last Wednesday night.  The Lady ‘Cats were swept by the Lady Irish in three straight sets.

Oak Ridge kept it close in the first and third sets, losing those sets by a combined eight points.  The second was a blowout with the Lady ‘Cats losing 25-12.

Oak Ridge finished the night with an uncharacteristic nine serving errors; six of which were in that close first set.

The Lady Wildcats are 15-4 (4-0 District) on the season.
