CCS runners take on Victor Ashe Course
Ruben Rogel-Guadarrama honored
The Clinton Blaze cross country team participated in the Knoxville Youth Athletics Elementary School Cross Country Area Championships held at Victor Ashe Park on Monday Night.
Both boys and girls teams competed in the one-mile course. Clinton Boys team runner Ryley Brewer was the top Blaze runner, who finished 113th out of 573 runners.
Brewer finished his mile with an impressive time of 6:57.30.
The other Blaze standout was Ruben Rogel-Guadarrama, who was presented with the Ryan Wilmot Spirit Award. The award recognizes student athletes who display “exceptional perseverance in the face of adversity.”
Rogel-Guadarrama finished the mile race with a time of 12:47.57. Congratulations to all the student athletes of the Clinton Blaze cross country team on a successful race. Additionally, congratulations to all the Blaze runners on a great 2018 season.
