TORCH wants to thank First Baptist Church for providing a wonderful space for us to have our first informational meeting in Clinton. TORCH works with homeless throughout Anderson County and serves Clinton, Rocky Top Andersonville Norris and Oak Ridge.
A member of the United Way of Anderson County, TORCH receives grant money from the United Way and from a HUD grant, but is largely supported by individual donations. TORCH works on the rapid rehousing model and especially tries to get families back in housing for children to continue in their previous schools.
TORCH is currently budgeting for the cold months of winter, when homelessness is dangerous for young and old alike.
Again, thank you, First Baptist.
