TSSAA Cross Country Region Meet Results

Anderson County Cross Country runners Maddy Moody and Mollie Longmire competed in the TSSAA Region 2-AAA Championship Meet last week. Moody finished fourth out of 115 runners, with a time of 19:23. Longmire finished eighth overall with a time of 20:04.
Both Moody and Longmire qualified for the TSSAA Cross Country State Championship Meet, in Nashville at Percy Warner Park, on Nov. 3. On the boys side, Anderson County runner Colin Moody finished 19th overall out of 117 runners with a time of 17:27.
Also, Mavs’ runners Micah Sawyer and Kirby Logan finished 32nd and 33rd. Sawyer posted a time of 18:04, and Logan posted a time of 18:12.
KYA Cross Country State Meet Results
In the elementary school State Cross Country Championship Meet, runners from Fairview Elementary had a fantastic day. Cameron Hardy finished 18th with a time of 5:59.
Ava Moody was behind him in 19th and finished with a time of 6:28. Both Hardy and Moody earned All-State honors.
Marieke Schley finished 70th with a time of 6:58. Sydney Day finished 145th with a time of 7:34. Cameron, Ava, and Marieke qualified for the AAU Cross Country Nationals.
