Mat Mavs pinned by CAK, fare well against Farragut

The Anderson County Mavericks Wrestling team hosted Christian Academy of Knoxville and Farragut last Thursday.

CAK would dominate, but the Mavs were able to draw even with the visiting Admirals.

The Warriors and the Mavs faced off in 13 duels, each a different weight class.

CAK would out-muscle the Mavs 54-24, with a ten-win effort.

Anderson County picked up three wins — two by forfeit.

The lone victorious Maverick was Fenton Donlan, who claimed victory by fall over CAK’s Ethan Fogle in the 182-lb. class.

Anderson County was more successful against Farragut, and tied the Admirals 36-36.

Yet, out of 12 duels, the Mavs earned 30 points by forfeit.

The lone Maverick to win a duel was Andrew Long, who defeated Farragut’s John Hurley by fall in the 220-lb. class.

The Anderson County Wrestling Mavericks will be in action again this weekend, as they travel to Wise, Va.
