Clinton City Schools honored as exemplary

The Tennessee Department of Education has announced that Clinton City School District has been selected as one of only six districts to be named as an Exemplary ACCESS District for its intensive work and exceptional dedication to providing ACCESS for all students to high quality instruction and intervention over the past two years through the State Personnel Development Grant.

This designation is based on training participation data, dedication to the grant design, improvements in teaching method, improvements in IEP quality, improvements in reading screener scores, and efforts to expand the trainings system-wide.

The department will be announcing this recognition during two sessions at the Partners in Education Conference in January.

Clinton City School District will be recognized during the lunch session on Jan. 29, and again during the SPDG 1.0 invite-only session on the afternoon of Jan. 30.

This work has given the Tennessee Department of Education the opportunity to partner with school districts as they impact each student in every facet of their education in the least restrictive setting.

“Clinton City’s dedication to its educators and students has, and will continue to, positively affect all students in its district for many years to come,” a press release from the Tennessee Department of Education said.
