Clinton High School junior Jacob Reasor placed second in the diving competition of the Tennessee High School Swimming Championships held Saturday in Nashville.

Senior Colby Brown placed 25th in the 200 freestyle and 35th in the 100 freestyle during the day-long event held at the Tracy Caulkins Aquatics Center in Nashville, located near Centennial Park.

“This caps off a great season for our swimming program,” said Dragons co-coach Nicole Patalano, who has worked this year with co-coach Jan Smith.

“Our swimmers worked hard for months and we put in some great performances on the way to a second-place finish in the region meet a few weeks ago.”

Patalano said the two Dragons competing in Nashville each put in extra efforts in preparing for last weekend’s championships.

“They worked hard all week long when they were practicing at the University of Tennessee Aquatics Center and they were ready to compete when they got to Nashville,” Patalano said.

“Colby was one of 110 swimmers statewide. Jacob had some great dives to reach the runner-up spot.

“Coach Smith and I are very proud of what Jacob and Colby accomplished – not only in Nashville, but throughout the season along with the remaining members of our team

“These students, their parents and supporters, put in lot of hard work all season long and Coach Smith and I appreciate everything they have done to get us to this point.”
