Rising senior Isaac Murphy was named the Ray Beaty Commitment Award recipient at the end of the Clinton High School football Dragons’ spring workouts. Head Coach Randy McKamey said the award goes to the CHS football player that shows com- mitment to not just the football program and his teammates and coaches, but to the community. The award is named in honor of Ray Beaty, a CHS alumni and World War II Veteran who came home to Clinton after earning his college education and served numerous boards in Anderson County. Murphy is the second recipient of the award, the winner selected by the CHS coaching staff. McKamey said the award goes beyond football. “In 20 years, Isaac will come back and see his award hanging alongside 19 others.” Pictured are, from left McKamey, Ray Beaty, and Murphy.
