The Clinton Blaze boys basketball team held its annual basketball camp last week.

It was run by basketball coaches Jeff Little and Garrett Little and student-athletes were instructed on the fundamentals of the game at the Clinton Elementary School gymnasium.

It had 29 campers this year and the players competed in Hot Shot and Free Throw competitions.

The Hot Shots champion was Jaylon Daniels. Hudson Edenfield won the Free Throw Competition. Andrew Sanders won the Blaze Award.

Blaze Student-Athletes to Graduate: Clinton City Schools Athletics Director E. T. Stamey noted that the sixth-grade student athletes will graduate Thursday at 9 a.m.

Fall Sports: The fall sports season will begin when students return to school in August.

The Blaze will field cross country, swimming and boys and girls basketball team. The Blaze soccer camps will also return at that time.

Summer Track: Clinton City Schools student-athletes may participate in the Knoxville Youth Athletics summer track and field program upon completion of the school year.

To compete, student-athletes must register directly with Knoxville Youth Athletics. Fee is $45.

Anyone for tennis: Stamey said that the Blaze may look to add tennis teams soon.
